When infection /attacks, the body usually raises its
temperature. Fever, therefore, is a guage of disease.
The only way to tell accurately if fever is present is to
take the patient's temperature with a reliable clinical
thermometer. One should be in every home. Don't
however, try to analyze the reason for a temperature.
If fever is present, safety dictates that your physician
be called to determine exactly what is causing the temp-
erature and prescribe the indicated treatment.
