Ronnie, son of CounicUlor and Mrs. Norman "Poodle" Liver- more, received this invitation to tryout in Hamilton, from Jimmy Skinner, chief scant of the De- trait Red Wings Hockey Club, which sponsors junior hockey in Hamilton. Accompanying Ronnie will be Tom Dick, son of Mrs. Ott Dick and the late Mr. Dick, Sea- forth, These boys were scouted by Detroit hockey scouts while playing Midget "C" hockey last winter for their respective towns. This is Dick's second year to attend such a hockey camp, Both boys are 17 years old. o . ftedniell Take Bad Defeat as Goderich Team Plays Here The CDCI Redmen went down to their second defeat in as many games last Thursday when they lost to Goderich by a 26-14 score on their home field. The Clinton team had a 14-12 lead early in the second half but couldn't hold the Goderich of- fense as they scored tw'o convert- ed touchdowns to take the margin of victory. Barry Pipe scored both touch- downs for Clinton while Ken Engelstad converted both of them. Clinton's next game .will be in Wing-ham on Thursday afternoon (October 8).
