R. Sweeney presided and the church organ. Keith Snell led in prayer. Rev. D, 3. Lane spoke of the objective of the Daily Vac- Mr,. and Mrs. Ben Hamilton and son John spent last week in To- ronto. Mr. and Mrs. Ed, Davies were in Grand Bend on Monday visiting with friends, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Raithby and James Raithby, London, spent Monday and Tuesday in the vill- age. Besides those mentioned these were present at all classes, Ricky Archambault, Jamie and Charlotte Nesbet, Keith Lapp, Wayne Scott, Danny Evans, Murray Wightman, Raymond Hildebrand, Jackie de Groot, Dana Bean, Gary Ament, John Thompson, Norman and Ruthanne Robertson, Kenny and Billy Empey, Larry, Paul, Donna and Lorraine Chamney, Ross Dob- ie, Ralph and Joyce Hallam, Henry Maedel, Billy Snell, Jimmy Ben- nett, Nancy Brown, Kathy Sch- neider, Cherry and Wanda Plaet- zer, Heather Polich, Cathy Young; Susan, Carol and Marian Staples, Shelly McPhee, Donna Baechler, Mary Wilkin, Janet Johnston, Lin- da Jefferson, Gail Seers, Cheryl Stewart, Linda Sproul. The theme of this class was "The Bible". The "Shepherds of the Bible" was the theme of the primary class 'in the charge of Miss Margaret R. Jackson, assisted by Misses Ruth Millian, Shirley Brown, Car- ol Armstrong, Betty Durnin, Joan Mills and Bernice McDougall who also presided at the piano. They sang three songs and the follow- ing recited the Shepherd memory verses: Wendy Schneider, Brian Walden, Keith Scott, Allan Mc- Dougall, Joyce Leatherland, Bren- da Ball. Betty Moss and Jennifer Grange sang two duets. The other primary pupils were: Ronald, Wayne and Mark Arthur, Brenda Archambault, Ronald Br- own, Vera and Brian Craig, Daryl and Daryk Ball, Anne de Groot, Jean Hardy, Romana Hanna, Kathy Hallam, Gordon and Steven Haggitt, John Johnston, Nancy Lapp, Billy Millian, Monica Nes- bet, David Polich, Cynthia Purs- ley, Linda and Patsy Reed, Billy Sproule, Gail Stewart, Linda Snowden, Bobby Schneider, Adele Toman, Jack Vincent, Ross Wilson, Patsy Wilkin, Margaret Young- blut, Connie Young, Donna Mc- Donald. The junior class had as their study, "Finding the Way" with their leader, Mrs. Ed Davies in charge assisted by Mrs. Arthur Grange, Miss Elva Gross and Mrs. S. Lansing, Miss Barbara MacKay $10.00 $14.00 $6.50 was the pianist and accompanied for their song "Dare to be Brave". Congratulations are extended to Mrs. Annie Walper, Clinton, who last Sunday, July 12, celebrated her 89th birthday. Her daughter, Mrs, John Daer and Mrs, Andrew Kirkconnell visited with her last Friday, Mrs, McMurdo, Ayrshire, Scot- ti land spent last weekend with Mr, and Mrs. John Houston and fam- ily. Mr. and Mrs, Charles Millian and Mr, and Mrs, George Million are on a holiday trip to Wash- ington, D.C. Mr. and Mrs. A. Armstrong, De- troit, formerly of Ayrshire, Scot- land, are visiting this week at the home of Mr, and Mrs, John Hous- ton. , Mr, and Mrs. Alfred Goss and Mr, and Mrs. Charles Cowan, Lon, don, visited last Thursday with Mrs, Sam Daer, Mr. and Mrs. An- drew Kirkconnell and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Daer and Bob and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Daer and fam- ily. Miss Ehna Mitch spent a few days last week in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs, Waldie Kiritcon- nell, Tiverton were guests last Sat- urday with his cousin Andrew nell, Ruth Schneider, Betty Hall- am and jannett Dobie. A choral reading was given, by Rosemarie Haggitt, Lois Halls am, Joan Weir, Margie Haines, Martie Koopmans, Jean Montgomm ery and Anne Snell. Others attending were: Barbara and Nancy Watson, Sharon Ball„ Barbara Baeehier. Certificates were presented and the benedic- tion pronounced.
