Receive Letter
From S. McDonald
Stanley McDonald, well-known
in this district while he was on the
staff of Piekett and Campbell Ltd.,
and while he was active in the
Young People's and Sunday School
Work of Ontario Street United Ch-
urch, has written a letter from
Osage, Sask., where he is the lay
preacher in a three-point pastoral
charge of Osage-Tyvan-Talmage.
Addressing his letter locally to
Mrs. W. S. R. Holmes, and other
friends and relatives, Mr. McDon-
ald outlines the work of his con-
gregations. His 15-member Tyro
boys group was started through
funds sent by members of the
Sunday School class Mr. McDon-
ald taught at Ontario Street Ch-
urch.
Stan has assisted the congreg-
ation at Osage to hold their first
anniversary services, their first
Christmas pageant, and carol ser-
vice at Tyvan.
At Easter time the Tyros went
Perdue.

Regular Meeting
The Women's Missionary Soc-
iety of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church met at the home of the
secretary, Mrs. Robert Scott. The
president, Mrs. R. W. McKenzie
opened the meeting with a call to
worship. Matthew 28: 16-20 was
the theme given by Mrs. Alive
Dunbar. Mrs. William Blacker
followed with prayer.
"Sharing in the Mission with the
church of Scotland in Africa" was
the subject of a talk by Mrs. D. J.
Lane. Mrs. John Snider for cur-
rent events gave an. interesting ac-
count of the work of Rev, Brown
Milue in White Horse. The pres-
ident closed the meeting with
prayer.
Mrs. M .D. MeTaggart assisted
the hostess in serving refresh-
ments.

Community Club Meets

The June meeting of SS No. 4
Goderich Township Community
Club was held at the home of
Mrs. Stewart Farquhar with 14
members present.
The president, Mrs. 3, Merrill,
opened the meeting. The treasur-
er's report showed a balance of
$42,79. Plans Were made for the
annual picnic on the school
grounds on Thursday afternoon of
this week. Mrs. Robert Thompson,
Mrs. Walter Forbes and Mrs. Mor-
gan Jones are ih charge of the
sports and /tees.
Work was done on a quilt dur-
ing the afternoon. Lunch was
served by the ladies of Group 1,
The next meeting will be at
the home of Mrs. Donald Forbes
with Group 2 serving lunch,

RR 1, Brucefield. The couple is living on the groom's
farm in Stanley Township.

Good-Will Club Gets
Thanks For Two Bales
The Unitarian Service Commit-
tee of Canada has sent cards of
grateful thanks to the packer of
two bales of clothing from the
Good-Will Club of Wesley-Willis
church. One was for the TB
Children's Hospital at Seoul, Kor-
ea, named "Canada House." The
other parcel of four complete lay-
ettes, was in response to the Un-
ited Nations appeal made through
the USC for Arab refugee babies.
Mrs. G. Manning president of
the club took the responsibility for
transportation to the nearest col-
lection centre at 64 Caledonia
Street, Stratford. From there on,
transportation on land arid sea is
granted free, for this relief work.
