Bantam Baseball League has been
set, with eight entries, Clinton.
New Hamburg, Mitchell, Lucari,
Hensall; Goderich, Exeter and Sea-
forth set to .compete, They must
have a winner declared by August
3 to go on in the play-
downs;
All games will start at 6,30 P.M. The home team will supply the
umpires. The local bantams will
be sponsored this year by the
Huron Fish and Game .Conserva-
tion CIO, while Bert White will
be looking after the managerial
• end of the team and Fred MODon-
ald will act as coach.

a meeting in Blyth Town Hall next
Monday, June 8, to meet all can-
didates for next week's provincial
election,

and Rae J. Watson, Liberal Can-
didate for Huron-Bruce; Charles
S. MacNaughton, member and
Harry Strang, Liberal candidate
for Huron, all have been invited
to speak at a Farmer's Union sp-
onsored rally on that night.
This type of political meeting
has been held before by the Farm-
ers Union and at times has rais-
ed controversial subjects. They
have been kept well in hand, and
have proved quite interesting,

Juvenile Baseball Team
Meets Zurich At
Park Here To-Night
Eight teams are set to go in
the Juvenile section of the WOAA
Baseball League. First game of
the schedule will see the local Cl-
inton boys hosting a team from
Zurich. The other six teams en-
tered are: Mitchell, Sebringville,
Seaforth, Exeter, Hensall and a
team from Goderich.
This league must also declare
a winner before August 3 to go
on into 0,B.A. playclowns, As was
the case in the bantam series all
games must start at 6,30 and the
home team supplies all umpires.
This year's Juvenile team will
be made up chiefly of the last
year's Midget team that went as
far as the Ontario semi-final. The
Clinton Legion will again sponsor
the team this year while Doug
Andrews is the manager and Norm
Livermore and Dick Fretnlin are
the coaches,

Wins Bowling Series
Bert White again showed the
way AS. 110 lea his team to victory
over a team from Forest in the A
division of the Midwestern League.
The Clinton team far outclassed
their opponents as they won the
ten game set by 1,385 pine.
In the first set of five games
held at Forest, Bert White came
up with the high five of 1,108 and
also the high single with a 258.
Bert also led the locals when
they returned to their local alleys
as he rolled a 1,195 for five gam-
o and also bad the high single
of 324. Members of the winning
team were :Jim. Armstrong, capt-
ain, Jack .Armstrong, Len Arno-
on, Lon Matthews, Ron McKay,

Bring Home Title.
Clinton B brought the second
title home in the Midwestern bow-
ling league as they defeated a
Forest Team to win the "B" .div-
ision.
Ron Burbridge led the Clinton
team in their victory at Forest
when he bowled 1,005 for five
games. Clarence Freeman had the
high single of the evening when
he bowled 209. In the return five
games at Clinton, Clarence Free-
man had the high. five games of
1,117 and also the high single of

In the ten game total the Clin-
ton team, sponsored by the Fish
and Game Club, won handily by
over 1,000 pins,
Winners of the winning team
were Don Switzer, captain, Mur-
ray Johnston, Howie Grealis, Cl-
arence Freeman, Don Strong and
Ron Burbridge.
