Mrs. B. Wade was welcomed on transfer from the Mount Forest Auxiliary; One name was proposed for member- ship. Final plans for the St. Patrick's Dance were made. Mrs. George Knights reported on the zone card party held in Clinton in February and on the bowling tournament to be held in Walker- ton on April 29 and 30. The president reported that rep- resentatives had attended a meet- ing at the county home for pur- pose of forming an auxiliary to the County Home, and next meet- ing would be April 20 at 2.30 o'clock there. All interested pers- ons are welcome to attend. It was decided to have a film on cancer at the April meeting. The monthly draw was won by Mrs. L. Dutot. Mystery prize was won by Mrs. G. Knights. He was born on the 16th con- cession of Goderich Township, the son of the late Rowland Jenkins and Elizabeth Holland, Following his marriage to Miss Emma Carter on February 19, 1902 he and his wife farmed in Goderich township on Highway No. 8 until sixteen years ago, when they retired in Clinton. Surviving besides his wife are two sisters: Mrs. Tessie Stevens and Mrs. Lillian Welsh, both of London; and one brother Herbert, Clinton. The funeral service was held from Ball and Mutch funeral home High Street, Clinton, on March 3 and was conducted by Rev. J. A. McKim, Wesley-Willis United Church. During the. service Leslie Pearson sang. Pallbearers were: William Jen- kins, Maitland Driver, Harry Snell, Arnold Jamieson, Harold Glew and Harry Oakes .° Flower bearers were: John McCovvan, Theodore Dale, Grant Snell and George Potter.
