Clinton knocked on the door repeatedly but it took an Ilderton penalty at the 18 minute mark before they cashed in with Walters scoring his sixth goal. In the last minute of play Clinton almost won the game when a shot from the blue- line by John Scott dropped be- hind Scarborough on to the cross- bar and then dropped on the ice right at the goalmouth. In the overtime period Max O'- Neil scored at the 1.01 mark to provide the winner for Ilderton. With only ten men dressed and one of them, Ken Doig on the lineup with a bum knee, •add the injury of their second line centre John Hartley, who suffered a bro- ken left arm in the early min- utes of the third period, and still it took a well-balanced Ilderton team an overtime period to defeat the Colts. Gord Walters had a terrific night as he picked up six goals and an assist, Ken Doig, although he didn't get a goal, helped in six of them. Jack Meriam got one goal and was robbed numerous times right on the Ilderton goal- mouth. Meriamn scared the first goal of the gaine at the three minute mark when he finished off a pass- ing play started by Ken Doig and Walters.
