The top team in league play
has a choice of playing any of
the other three teams as their
first opponents in the play-off

for top position more compet-
itive, By winning the next two
from Exeter the Colts could be
the top team.
Exeter plays Mitchell tonight
(Tuesday), which can be either
a win or loss for them as Mit-
to continue their scoring, Coach
Ken Doig, will likely be baelA for
the Exeter game,
Saturday's holiday feature be-
gins at 8,30 instead, of the usual
nine o'clock, Between the sec-
lod. and third, period Colts offic-
ials will make the draw for six
huge turkeys on which they have,
been selling tickets. There are
still a few tickets left, obtainable

and scored at the three minute
mark. S. O'Neil tied the gape for
the Wildcats late in the second
period.
Early in the third period Nibloc
put the Wildcats up one, only to
have Walters come right back to
tie it up. Walters scored his fifth
goal to put the Colts one up again.
Don Quirie and 13. Urbshott scored
two goals in eight seconds to
put Ilderton ahead 9-8. Clinton
knocked on the door repeatedly
but it took an Ilderton penalty at
the 18 minute mark before they
cashed in with Walters scoring
his sixth goal. In the last minute
of play Clinton almost won the
game when a shot from the blue-
line by John Scott dropped be-
hind Scarborough on to the cross-
bar and then dropped on the ice
right at the goalmouth.
In the overtime period Max O'-
Neil scored at the 1.01 mark to
provide the winner for Ilderton.
Clinton's next game will be at
home to the Exeter Mohawks on
Saturday, December 27,,

E."Hal Hartley
If sheer heart and desire could
win hockey games, then the Clin-
ton Colts should have won last
Friday night's game in a breeze.
With only ten men dressed and
one of them, Ken Doig on the
lineup with a bum knee, •add the
injury of their second line centre
John Hartley, who suffered a bro-
ken left arm in the early min-
utes of the third period, and still
it took a well-balanced Ilderton
team an overtime period to defeat
the Colts.
Gord Walters had a terrific
night as he picked up six goals and
an assist, Ken Doig, although he
didn't get a goal, helped in six
of them. Jack Meriam got one
goal and was robbed numerous
times right on the Ilderton goal-
mouth.
Meriamn scared the first goal of
the gaine at the three minute
mark when he finished off a pass-
ing play started by Ken Doig and
Walters. Gord Waiters came up
with three straight goals and John
Hartley got one 'before Ilderton
scored with Don Quirie the mark-
sman, S. O'Neil, Allison and Max
O'Neil scored to bring the Wild-
cats within one goal at the end
of the first".
Ken Lee put the Colts two up
at the one minute mark of the
second period when he converted
a pass from Hartley. G. Thomp-
son took a pass from S. O'Neil
