The next meeting will be held on January 2 at Mrs. Davies' home, Knox WMS The Women's Missionary Soc iety of Knox Presbyterian Church met in the Sabbath School room for their Christmas meeting with the ladies of St. Mark's Anglican Guild as guests. The call to wor- ship .was given by the president, Mrs. Wes. Bradnock and the meet- ing was opened by singing "Holy Night" with Mrs. Donald Haines presiding at the piano, followed by prayer. An "In Memoriam" service with a minute's silence was observed for the late Mrs. Fred Ross, who had been a very active member of the society, was conducted by the president. Rev. D. J, Lane read the scrip- ture lesson and gave a very im- pressive talk on the Christmas Story and offered prayer. The guest speaker, Rev, Robert Meal- ley, rector of St. Mark's Anglican Church was introduced by Mrs. Thomas Haggitt. He spoke on the true meaning of Christmas and how we should observe the Holy Day. Rev. Mealley was thanked by Mrs, Wilfred Sanderson. Mrs. John Graham and Mrs. Herbert Govier were appoint- ed to pack boxes for the shut-ins. Mrs. Barry Arthur and son Gregory visited last Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Keller, Blyth.. . Ida White C.O.C. The Ida White group of the Children of the Church of Knox Presbyterian Church met last Sat- urday in the Sabbath School room with mothers and members of the WMS as guests. President Marilyn Daer opened the meeting with the call to worship, "Holy Night" was sung with Margaret Haines at the piano. The pledge was repeat- ed with Marian Yungblut and Dar- lene Stewart as flagbearers. ,The Christmas story as told in the Gospel of St. Matthew was read by Marjorie. Yungblut. The group sep- arated for their story hour with the senior group taken by Mrs. Wilfred Sanderson and the junior group by Mrs. Haines.• The meet- ing closed by singing "Away in a Manger" and prayer.
