Fremlin, the Midgets lost their
first game to Exeter and defeated
the Goderich Midgets 7-1 in Gode-
rich last Friday night.
Played as 'the last half of double-
header minor hockey nights the
Midgets play at 8.30 o'clock in
both home and away games, unless

LAST MINUTE. • •
' An announcement made by the
RCAF concerning a National. Mb-
del Aircraft Contest open to all
'teenage boys in Canada should
interest hundreds of boys in Ont-
ario.
The contest, biggest of its kind
ever held in this country offers
42 major prizes to b''oys submitting
prize winning models. The 14 first
place winners will be flown to Eu-
rope by RCAF Comet-jet and wh-
ile there as guests of the Air
Force will spend a weekend in
London as. well as ,visiting RCAF-
Squadrons in France and ,Germ-
any, 28 other winners will be flown
in RCAF aircraft • to either the
Calgary. Stampede or the Pacific
National ExhibitiOn at Vancouver%
for westerners there will be a ch-
ance to fly to Toronto to see the
International Air Display during
the 1959 Canadian National-txtii-
bition.
The Air Fo'l•ae• is, providing the

Bob Garon got a penalty at the
two minute mark, but it was the
Colts who took advantage with
Jack Merlon!. scoring two goals
within a minute. Two minutes
later when Ilderton got a penalty
Clinton scored two more inside
of. 25 seconds with Gord Walters
and Malt Edgar being the marks-
men. Bob Doig with his first and
Gord Walters with 'his second,
rounded out the ,scoring in the
first. -• Ken Doig picked up. his first
goal to begin the second. Penal-
ties caught up to Ilderton at this
time as two penalties to them re-
suited in three goals for the Colts
•with John Hartley and John Scott
Scoring and Mait Edgar picking
up his second. Noden scored the
lone Ilderton goal in • the second
Peririd.
Jack' Meriam completed his
three goal effort early in the third
and Bob Doig scored two in suc-
cession to also get the "hat trick".
Ken Lee and Bob Garon rounded
out the scoring for the Colts. Mc-
Nair, Thompson and D. Urbshott
counted goals for Ilderton in the
third.

The two Clinton Bantam hockey
teams in the WOAA group are
playing a regular scheduled game
in Clinton Lions Arena on Satur-
day morning at nine o'clock, The
return game will also be on a
Saturday morning in January.,This
is due to the heavy ice time ached-
ure at the local arena.

Junior Farmers Pay
Honour To Members
On Tuesday; fibecember 9 the
Clinton Junior Farmers held their
meeting ' in 'the form of a Christ-
mas party at Stmmierhill Hall.
A short business meeting"was held
before the evening's entertain-
ment, Games followed and a dance
was enjoyed by all with the Plaza
Valley Boys Orchestra. •
During the evening a presenta-
lion was held for five of the mem--
hers who were married , in 1,958.
A gift was presented to each
couple. They were: Mr. and Mrs..
Grant McLean (nee Helen -John-
ston), M`t. and Mrs. 'Fred Pepper,
Mr. and Mrs.. Fred Gibson,. Mr.
and Mrs. Don Andrews, Mr, and

the RCAF for winners in two clas-
ses; one for individual efforts and
one for boys ,working in groups,

schools and 'Air Cadet Squadrons
or other bbys "work- groups will
enter in this latter class.
The contest marks the beginning
of the RCAF's- observance of its
own 35th anniversary as well as
50 years of powered flight in Can-
ada. both events beinecelebrated
during 1959.

originate in Clinton on Christmas
Eve and Christmas Day-an'

Goderich Last. Friday
Goderich Bantams defeated the
local Bantams 'by a 5-0 score to
inflict their first loss this season.
The Clinton Bantams now have
won one and lost one. Goal getters
for Goderich were Bill Wilkinson
with two; Dennis Williamsdn,
Doug Harrison and Gary Doak
with one each.
Clinton Midgets won their first
game as they defeated the Gode-
rich leliclgets by, a 74•score. John
Jacob and Ron Livermore led the
Midgets 'with two goals each; Bill
Murriey, Roger,- Cummings and
Don Scruton scored -singletons.
