The Clinton Baptist Women's
Auxiliary and Mission Circle met
at the'County Horne on .Wednes-
day, December 3 with the Auxil-
iary there for a combined Christ-
Inas meeting-
Mrs. V, ToWnsbencl,.who is pres-
ident of both groups, extended a
cordial weicome to all. Christmas
Carols were, enjoyed. Miss M, Sio-
man, read the Scripture lessen,
Mrs, ToWnShend took the chrio-
rnas meditation and Mr. .0strom
led in prayer. Vocal duets by Mr.
and Mrs, John Ostrom of Wing-
ham, were much enjoyed and duets
on the accordion and violin by
Jeannette and Hugh Lobb,
Mrs. Tow.nshend closed the ga-
thering with prayer.
The Clinton ladies . then served
lunch. to all present and a bag of
fruit to each one in the County
Home Hospital.

Mrs. Earl Gaunt and son Ken-
neth, left on Saturday for a week's
visit with her sister, Mrs: Edna
Holmes, Dresden,
White gift service was observed
on Sunday. The superintendent,
Harry Snell, officiated in the ab-
sence of the Rev. T. J. White,
who is a patient in Victoria Hos-
pital, London. His many friends
wish him a speedy recovery.
Norman White and family spent
Saturday night at the parsonage.
WI Present Gifts
At the November meeting of the
Women's Institute on Thursday af-
ternoon, members presented gifts
for the shut-ins in answer to roll
call. The financial statement was
very encouraging. The demonstra-
tion of plastic floral decorations
given by Mrs. Alex Inkley, Clinton,
was an interesting feature, much
enjoyed by all.

the Christmas story from Luke.
Thoughts on the lesson were taken
by Mrs, Manning and prayer by
Mrs. C. Nelson.
Several thank you notes were
read. The Women's Missionary
Society received a request to ser-
ve a dinner for candidates for the
ministry, and their leaders from
the 'Presbyterial. Mrs, D. And-
rews favoured with a solo, "Snowy'
Flakes". The shut-ins are to be
remembered by the society. Sev-
eral carols were sung,
Mrs. Addison extended thanks to
the striking committee and to Mrs.
Andrews for her excellent leader-
ship. The following is the slate
