The WA is collecting and also
buying children's clothing and also
making two quilts to be sent at
Christmas to the rred Victor Mis-
sion, Toronto,
Mrs. M. Stock and Gordon are
spending the winter months with
Mr. and, Mrs. Earl Williams. Code- rich -Township,
John Potter is a patient in Vic-toria Hospital; -London, S4is friends
here, wish him a Speedy recovery.

family have .returned borne from
Pickering, where they have been
visiting Mrs, Cameron's parents
for the past week..

Mrs. Q. Tebbutt's group was in
charge of the November meeting ,
of the Woman's Missionary Soc-
iety of Holmesville United Church,.
The theme of the meeting was
"Think on These Things" and fol-
lowing the hymn and the Lord's
Prayer, Mrs. Tebbutt acted as lea-
der for the meditation with res-
ponse being given by Mrs. C. Wil-
son, Mrs, E. N. Grigg, Mrs. W.
Norman and Mrs, M. Jones.
Mrs, C. Tebbutt led in prayer,
The Scripture lesson was read by
Mrs. M. Jones- and the thoughts
on it were given by Mrs, W. Nor-
man. Mrs. C. Wilson gave the
prayer. The business period was
taken by the president, Mrs. N.
Heard.
Study book chapters were re.
viewed by Mrs. E. N. Grigg. Mrs,
C. Tebbutt read a temperance art,
icle, The meeting closed with a
hymn and prayer by Mrs. Tebbutt.

Mrs. Stanley Lyon and Mrs. Em-
erson Hesk visited with their sis-
ter Mrs. Edna Holmes, Dresden,
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. George Webb, To-

Radford, Lynden, spent a day with
Mrs. John Shobbrook recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reid, To-
ronto, spent this week with Mr.
and Mrs. Bert Allen.
The Women's Institute held a
very successful •bazaar last Wed-
nesday and the proceeds totalled
almost $300.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Curts, Ar-
kona, spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Yungblut.
Mrs. Laura Lyon and Miss Ed-
ith Beacom motored to Exeter on
Sunday after receiving word that
their brother-in-law, George Neil
had suffered a heart attack. He
was removed to St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London on Sunday. Friends
are hoping for his improvement
soon.
Mission Circle
The November meeting of the
Aimwell Mission Circle was held
at the home of Gail Lear with
the president in the chair. 17 mem-
bers answered roll call, and four
visitors were present. Barbara
Lovett gave the treasurer's report.
Edith Wright gave the steward-
ship reading. Joan Ann Lynn, Ed-
ith Beacom and June Fothergill
are to bring in the slate of officers
to the next meeting.
The members are going to make
favours for the patients trays at
Clinton Public Hospital. The the-
me of the devotional period was
"The Bible". Ruth Vincent read
a story "Two Thousand Miles For
The Book". The offering and birth-
day pennies were received. Ruth
Vincent read a short story and led
in prayer.
Mrs. N. Forbes conducted a
short discussion on the new study
book about 'Concerns of a Cont-
inent". The meeting closed with
a benediction. Beth Knox and
Marjorie McMall served lunch.

Rev. Harrison. Attends
Bishop's Conference

The Rev. E. J. 13. Harrison at-
tended the Bishop Conference on
the Spiritual Advance for the Cler-
gy of the Archdeaconry of Lain,
both held at St. John's By The
Lake, Grand Bend on Tuesday.
The Arclideacenry covered the
Deaneries of Huron and Lambeth
under the jurisdiction of the Ven-
erable Archdeacon K. C. Bolton,
newly installed rector of St. Geo-
rge's Church, Sarnia. Abont 25 of
the clergy were present.
The Woman's Association followed,
with the president, Mrs. S. Far-
quhar in the chair. The meeting
opened with the theme song and
creed, and Mrs. Farquhar read the
Scripture lesson and gave the com-
ments on it, Mrs. E. N. Grigg gave
the treasurer's report.
Mrs. K Jones gave out the com-
mittee to arrange for the catering
for the Federation of Agriculture
banquet. A nominating committee,
Mrs. I. Tebbutt, Mrs. L. Jervis,
and Mrs. W, Norman, was asked
to bring in a slate of officers at
the December meeting. The Dec-
ember roll call is to be answered
with a gift for the Children's Aid
Society.
Donations were given to the
Springhill Fund and the Deaconess
Fund. Motions were passed to buy
an organ light, and some new
chairs for the Sunday School.
