Clinton's first game is scheduled for the Lions Arena here next Friday (November 21) at nine o'clock against Mitchell. S. R. Holmes in the church parlours on Tuesday. Roll call was answered by a verse containing the word "Faith". Mrs. S. Schoenhals had charge of. the worship period using the sub- ject "Remembrance". Mrs. A. J. McMurray presented the report of the nominating committee. Mrs. G. Mills and Miss Elva Wiltse very ably dealt with a chapter from the study book deal- ing with Protestant churches in Mexico. Mrs. Livermore gave a paper on Temperance. Mrs. B. Goderich Township The Woman's Auxiliary of St James Church, Middleton, met on Wednesday afternoon, November 5, at the home of Mrs. Edward Wise, with 17 members and two visitors present. The president, Mrs. Rowden, conducted the opening devotional exercises; Mrs. E .Wise gave the Scripture from St. Mark 4: 1-20. Mrs. Keith Miller read the minutes and Mrs. Alvin Dutot gave the financial statement. Mrs. Ray Wise, the prayer part- ner secretary, read an interesting news-letter from. Miss Frances Hawkins in Japan, re the world educational convention in Tokyo last August. The ladies decided to purchase a copy of the new constitution for the WA. Mrs. Arnold Miller, Mrs, Ray Wise and Mrs. Stewart Mid- dleton were appointed to act as a nominating committee, and will bring in a slate of officers to the annual meeting in December. • During the afternoon a crib quilt was almost completed. The rector, the Rev. E. J. B.
