Andrews presiding. Meet- ing opened with singing of the theme song. The Scripture passage was read by Mrs. J. Cox, the thought on the lesson by Mrs. M, T. Corless and prayer by Mrs. G. Beattie. The treasurer's report showed a substantial balance. Reports were given by the various secretaries. Mrs. M. Nediger favoured with a very pleasing solo, "Softly and Tenderly Love is Healing". Mrs. Andrews gave a report of the an- nual at Bayfield. $25 was voted to the program "Sing Time" for TV and radio. Plans were made for entertain- ing the junior choir on some oc- casions. Mrs. Manning invited the society to see the film "The Scep- tre and the Mace", put on by the Good Will Club on December 9. A striking committee of Mrs. N. Manning, Mrs. J. A. Riley of the Seaforth District 4-H Homemaking Club. Marilyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riley, who farm at RR 1, Londesboro. Marilyn is a graduate of the Seaforth District High School and at the present time is majoring in honour math- ematics and physics at the Univer- sity of Western Ontario. Marilyn was awarded the schol- arship on the excellent standing which she achieved in her six 4-11 Homemaking Club Projects as well as her general ability as a student.
