St. Paul's United Church, Ham-
ilton, was the scene of a lovely
wedding ceremony on Saturday,
November 1, when Eleanor Anne,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Armstrong, 27 Tragina Ave., N„
Hamilton, became the bride of
Derwyn Richard Hancocks, son of
Mr, and Mts. Oliver Hancocks,
Port Credit. The Rev. Fred M.
Ellis officiated.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a gown of white
faille styled with embroidered sa-
bring neckline and panels extend-
ing from the shoulder line to a
chapel-length train. •In her bou-
quet were baby pink sweetheart'
roses with feathered white car-
nations, bouvardia and heather,
Her fingertip veil of tulle was held
by a crown headdress of pearl
beading,
Attendants were Mrs. Glen Car-
ter, Londesboro, cousin of the
bride; Misses Lois Jackson, Joan
Milne, Joyce Hamann and Marj-
orie Hart. They wore peacock
blue dresses with bell-shaped
skirts, matching feathered head-
dresses and corsages of white but-
ton 'mums and ivy leaves.
Groomsman was George Han-
cocks, Toronto, and the ushers
were Ross Tuck and David Pett-
inghill, Port Colborne; Brian
Johnson, Port Credit and George
'Westmoreland, Hamilton. Miss
Bessie Ritchie, Hamilton, was or-
ganist.
A reception was held in the
Scottish Rite Club. .
Showers prior to the ceremony
were held by the following host-
esses: Mrs. Donald Ramsay and
Miss Lois Jackson, at the home of
Miss Lois Jackson; Mrs. Robert
Richmond; Miss Beryl Rich-.
m o n d; Mrs. Joseuh McCull-
ough and Miss Eileen McCull-
ough at the home of Mrs. McCull-
ough; Mrs. David Guyer; Miss
Joan Milne; Mrs. ,Glen Carter,
Londesboro and the women of St,
Paul's United Church in Hamil-
ton.
Presentations were made by the
choir of the church and by the
cheerleaderS of Delta Secondary
School, Hamilton.
Mrs, Fred Armstrong entertain-
ed at a trousseau tea on October
26 in honour of her daughter,
and was assisted. in receiving
guests by Mrs. Oliver Hancocks,
Port Credit, mother of the groom. Pouring tea were Miss Marjorie
Allan, Mrs. F. M. Ellis; Mrs. Alex
Scott, Grimsby; Mrs, John Arm-
strong, Lonclesboro and Mrs. Jam-
es Armstrong, Clinton. Assisting
with serving were Mrs, Donald
Ramsay and the Misses Eileen Mc-
Cullough , and Beryl Richmond,
while assisting in the rooms were
Mrs. Glen Carter, Mrs. Harold
Forbes and Misses Lois Jackson,
Joan Milne, Marjorie Hart, Joyce
Hamann,
