the first time to a regional meeting of the Hospital Auxiliaries
of Ontario. The lovely nurses residence was the location for
the meeting, and tea served afterwards. Above are Mrs, George
S. Elliott, Mrs. G, W. Cuninghame, Mrs. A. Bates, Mrs. Tom
Steep, Mrs, F. G. Thompson and Mrs. W. D, Wells.

A . life-long resident of Hay
Township, Sy!t'vianus Witmer pass-
ed away at his home in Zurich on
Thursday, October' 16. He had been
only a short time. Boren on the
Babylon Line, Mr. Witmer was a
sen of t;hle late Mr. and Mrs. Geo-
nge Wilmer, and was in his 86th
year. He was inarnieid on. Novem-
ber 8, 1900, to the, former Marion
Mil4er, who is left to mourn his
loss. They had farmed, on the Bab-
ylon Llilne for a nunilber of years
