the bride Of Dr. Albert Bruce
Cooper, Toronto, son of Dr. and
Mrs, A. F. Cooper.
The Rev, J. A. Carder, Toronto,
conducted the 'ceremony, an which
the bride was given in marriage
by her brother-in-law, Ronald
Regnail, Tomato.
Mrs. Riede was bridesmaid, and
Dr. George Richards was grooms-
man, Ushers' were Grant Cooper,
brother of the groom. and Dr.
Ronald McBride, -Music was by
Mrs. Lorne Parks, Toronto.
After a wedding reception in
The Guild Trot, the couple left
on a wedding trip to Northern'
Ontario by motorcar. They will
live in Toronto.
Guests 'attending the wedding
from Clinton were Mr, and Mrs.
Albert Bond and Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Cooper, The groom is a
nephew a the latter couple.

Hear Mrs, F. Sloman
The Happy Workers Club held
their September meeting at the
home of Mrs, Roger Hoorneort on
the eventing of September 11. Roll
call Was answered with a donation
of a penny for "every time you let
home in the last month", :$3.95 was
turned in. There were 14 members,.
four visitors and one child present.
. The group planned for the baz-
aar which will be held in the town.

meeting will be in the evening
Of Octolber 9 at the home of Mrs.
Tamer Dole. Roll call will be a
donation for the bazaar. Items
for the bazaar will be marked and
a quilt will be waiting to be quilt-
ed. lliternbers are asked to come
early and "bring your thimble".
After the business session, an
interesting that was held with
Mrs, Fred Sloman, about the tratv-
oiling school car. Mrs. Slotman told
of the needs+ and condition of the
people hi the north,, and also the
improvements since they first
went to that part of the country.
They are grateful far what is sent
to them, and find! it hard to be-

them can care enough to send
help.

Lorraine Gardiner were enjoyed;
a balloon contest followed, with
winners being Mrs. Wilfred Glaz-
ier, Mrs. Warren Gibbings and.
Mrs. Elmer Dale. Lunch was serv-
ed by the hostess, assisted by Miss
Van Loon and Mrs. Kenneth WE-
E ems.

Cecilia Fraiser exchanged vows
with William Douglas Rozell. The
bride is the daughter of Mrs.

the late Grant Fraiser, and the
groom is the son of Mrs. E. L.

The Hearthside Club of Ontario
Street 'United Church met Thurs-
day night, September 11 with the
president, Mrs. Ruth Knox in the
Chair. The devotional service was
held in the chapel with Mrs.
Louis Dutat in' charge assisted
by Mrs, George :Colelough and
Mrs. Harry Plumsteel. Miss Lois
Grasby gave a piano sotto.
The guest speaker was Mrs.

to Europe, which was much envoy-

That's the vow Fred Smith took when he learned
the youngster he had run over had died as a result
of the injuries. Fred's conscience was tortured by
the feeling that a child had died as a result of his
actions. He tore tip his driver's license, and has
