Herb Oakes; Goderich, Township, spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. George McVittie. The Women's: Institute will hold the September meeting in the Community Hall on Thursday af- ternoon. An interesting feature will be the demonstrating of foam rubber corsages and table decora- tions. Mrs. John Shobbrook visited with ,her brother, E. S. Webb, Milliken, and attended the we& ding of her niece last Saturday, also spending a few days in Osh- awa. Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Reid, To- ronto, are visiting with. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Allen this week. Several of the ladies in the vil- lage attended the trousseau tea last Saturday given by Mrs. Bert Hunking for her daughter Del- phine, whose marriage takes place on September 6 in Londeshoro United Church. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart' Knox, Sar- nia; Mr. and Mrs. "Lorne Wilson, enjoyed a trip to Northern Ontario last weekend. Miss Jean Scott, MdKillop Township, is the new teacher at SS 3, Tackersinith Township. Simon McKenzie is not so well as' his friends' would like to see him. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Eyre are on an extended motor trip of Western Canada. They intend vis- iting Vancouver and Victoria, and will return via the United States. In their absence, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Reid, Clinton, are in charge of the farm.
