1 envelope Dream Whip
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese (softened)
*/2 cup sugar
1 unbaked 9 in. crumb crust
1 can cherry pie filling
Prepare dream whip as directed on
package. Beat cream cheese with sugar
until creamy. Blend in prepared dream
whip. Pour into crust. Top with pie filling.
Chill for 3 hrs.

1 tsp. baking soda
Dissolve soda in applesauce. Cream
shortening, sugar and eggs together.
Add applesauce. Mix flour, salt, spices
and add to first mixture. (A cup of raisins
may be added) Pour into greased loaf
pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-60
min. Serve hot with whipping cream.

l‘/2 cups all purpose flour (sifted)

2 tsp. baking powder

1 (8 oz.) can pear halves, drained and
diced (% cups)
1 egg slightly beaten
% cup brown sugar
*/2 cup dairy sour cream
% tsp. cinnamon
*/3 cup walnuts
Sift together flour, */j cup sugar, baking
powder, salt and 3Zi tsp. cinnamon in
bowl. Add butter, evaporated milk and
egg. Beat for 2 minutes. Stir in drained
pears. Pour batter into 9” square pan.
Combine slightly beaten egg with sour
cream and blend well. Spread over top of
batter. Combine */< cup sugar, % tsp.
cinnamon and walnuts. Sprinkle over
sour cream layer. Bake 375° for 30
minutes or until golden brown. Cool and
serve warm.
