and family left last week for Hem-
mingford, Quebec, after a six
week's vacation in one of the Jew-
ett cottages.

his wife and daughter Gwen over

Windsor on Sunday after a week's
vacation at their cottage on Vic-

Mr. and Mrs. Storey, Lucan,
are at a Woollen Shop Cabin this
week. Mrs. J. 'Hill and daughter
returned to London on Wednesday
after occupying a 'cabin for a
week.
Mrs. William Munroe, London,
has sold her spacious home "Shan-
gri-La" Bayfiold Terrace to
F/L R. A. Simons, who is at pres-
ent at RCAF Station 'Clinton. He
gets possession 'tsp, September 1.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Blake
and 'the latter's mother, Mrs.
Nathan Barnes, Sarnia, were the
'guests of their cousin, the Rev.
E. J. B. 'Harrison, for a few days
the first of the week.
Mr,. and Mrs. 'Frank J, Hovey
and two, children, Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Delend and family returned
to Cleveland on- Saturday after
having occupied Jowett cottages
for a fortnight. •
L. Jackson, formerly of Sea-
forth, who at one time was on
local staff at the Bank of Com-
merce and is now bank manager
at Cayuga called on friends in
the village.
Mrs. T, W. Oates has gone
to :St, Thomas: to be with her
sister, Mrs. Ella Laidlaw, Mrs.
Laidlaw fractured a vertebra in
a fall at Clearwater, 'Florida, last
winter and has just recehtly been
able to leave hospital.
Miss' Hazel Wicks, Teesfwater,
was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R.
Roy Fitzsimons for a few days
last week. Sylvia Fitzsimons is
'attending 'Huron Church Camp for
ten, days. Terry has just returned
name from the previous camp.
Congratulatioes to Mrs. Isbella
Lawrason who on August 28 will
be 92 years' young. :Although she
has, given up 'digging her potatoes:
she still attends to her flowers' in
the garden and*enjoya an outing
every Saturday night in ,Zurtieh.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Howard',
Miss' Margaret Howard and Miss
Anne Drouin were in Mooretown
on Wednesday attending the, fun-
eral of Bruce Barwick who died
suddenly on Monday.' Mrs. Bar-
wick, the former Patricia Crosby,
is' Mrs. Howard's niece.
The Rev. and Mrs. F. H. Paull
returned to Li'stowel on Saturday
after a vacation at "Camborne
House" their home in the village.
Mrs. Paulit's sister, Miss Carrie'
Dixon and guest Miss' Edna A.
Van Valkerrburg, Brantford, were
here from Friday to Sunday.
Mrs. W. 3. Brock, accompanied
by her son Jim with two children,
Nancy and Chris, Port Dover,
visited her brother L, H. D. Mac-
Leod, from Monday to Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. D.
