1 cup water
1 cup long grain rice
1 can mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg. onion soup mix
Mix all ingredients in a casserole and
place eight pieces of chicken on top. Bake
1 hour at 375°.

4 to 5 pounds broiler-fryer chicken, cut up

Mix this well together, shape about 3/< of
this mixture into a loaf, leaving a cavity in
the centre for this dressing:

remainder of meat mixture, bake until
dene. Serve hot with mashed potatoes.

RICE MEAT LOAF
1 cup cooked rice
1 lb. ground beef
2 eggs well beaten
*/3 cup minced onion
2 tbsp, minced green pepper
1 Vi tsp. salt
1 tsp. curiy powder
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
2 tsp. prepared mustard
Combine first 8 ingredients and Vi can
tomato sauce. Form into loaf and place in
baking pan. Spread surface with mustard
and top with remaining tomato sauce.
Bake in preheated oven 350
bake in preheated oven 350° for 1 hour.

SIX LAYER SUPPER DISH
2 cups raw potato slices
1 cup raw onion slices
1 cup cooked rice
2 cups (1 lb. hamburg steak)
2 cups canned tomatoes
cracker crumbs
Put in layers in buttered baking dish in
order given, seasoning each layer with
salt & pepper, sprinkle with the cracker
crumbs, bake in slow oven 2 to IVi hours.

BEEF STEW & DUMPLINGS
2 lb. lean stewing beef (cut into cubes)
2 medium onions
3 large carrots
2 celery stalks
8 medium potatoes
1 tsp. Bovail
1 tbsp. Bisto
Saute meat cubes well in its own fat.
Add chopped onions and chopped carrots
with one cup of boiling water. Let simmer
for 1 */2 hours. Add 3 cups boiling water
with Bovail. Add cut up potatoes, cover.
Let simmer until vegetables are cooked,
approximately 30 min. Mix Bisto with
small amount of cold water. Add to stew
and stir well. Leave 20 min. Before
serving time add dumplings. Drop
dumpling dough gently from tablespoon
onto the stew. Cover and let simmer 20
min. and serve.
Dumpling mix
1 */2 cup teabisk mix
3/4 cup milk
pinch salt
Mix ingredients with a fork.

BEEF CASSEROLE
2 c. macaroni
2 c. chopped beef
1 c. cream of mushroom soup
Vi c. milk
Vi tsp. salt
few grains of pepper
2 c. grated cheese
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water;
drain. Pour into buttered casserole. Add
meat. Add soup, milk and seasonings.
Top with cheese. Bake at 350° for 30
minutes.
