bride is Mary Cecilia, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Leigh R. Telfer,
and the groom is the son of Mrs. B, C. Hearn, Clinton and the
late Dr. Hearn. The young couple are living in Clinton.

Merner Reunion

The Merner Family reunion, was
held, in Bayfield on, JaaCly 20. The
tbilrd Sunday lin July is the date
for this, annual event. Th'i's year
there was+ an attendance of about
70. They carne from, ,the Kitchen,
or district, New Dundee, London,
Hensala', Zurich and Detroiilt.
A program of sports, was run
off during the 'afternoon and a
p'llenic supper served on the lawn
,at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant

Following supper, +the 'annual
meeting was, held, and instead of
coming to Bay6ad next year, it
was decided to hold the reunion
at Kalbfl'e+isc'h's Cedar Grove near
Zurich.

A pretty wedding was solem-
nized on Saturday afternoon, July
26, when .at the home of the
bride -'s parents, Eleanor Mamie,
daughter of Mr. 'and Mrs. 'Cecil
Lyddiatt, Blyth, became the bride
of Barry Whetstone, Gaderich, son
of W. and Mrs'. L, O. Whetstone,
Goderich.
The Rev M. Thomas:, Waatonn+,
conducted the ceremony. Mrs. Gre-
ta McLeod was org!anast, and Ken-
neth Ritchae, uncle of the bride,
