HomeMy WebLinkAboutChristmastime Cookbook, 1980-11-13, Page 1o o CpKISTmS Welcome to the pages of our second annual Christmas Cookbook! Response from our readers to the first volume, printed in time Christmas cooking last November was so tremendous that the book sold within less than two weeks of its appearance in our papers. And weeks and months after that we continually got requests by mail and over the counter for copies. Just last week we had a letter asking for half a dozen of last year’s cookbook, to give as Christmas mementoes to friends. We can’t sell anyone copies of the 1979 Christmas Cookbook but we hope you’ll find our latest edition just as valuable. A huge thanks is in order to the cooks all over our area who submitted hundreds of recipes. All were eligible to win 20 $2 prizes and the winners begin on page 3. Although we didn’t have room to include all the recipes we received we’ll feature many others in the Christmastime issues of the Expositor, the Post and the Standard. The Christmas Cookbook is a favourite with the staff here as well as with readers, and we’ve enjoyed bringing it to you. A warning though: if you want extras to give to your friends, you’d better act fast. Christmas Cookbooks don’t stay around long. What’s inside?
