After a gradual decline in health
for the past year, and an illness
of eight Weeks duration., Mrs. •Wil-
ilam, H. Higgins, passed
away in Clinton PUblile Hospital,
on Monday, July 14, 1958.
Mrs, Higgins, formerly Grace
0, Oke, was born at Exeter, a
-daughter of the late Hugh Oke
and Mary Arm WiOson, .plioneers
.of that town. She receiVeld her
education at the Exeter schools,
and before her !marriage was en-
gaged in the millinery ibuslineSs,
with the firm of Samuel and
picks:11d, who were general deal-
ers in dry goods, Millinery, gro-
ceries, and shoes (and who adver-
tised clothing and millinery man-
ufactured on the premises). Then

Mrs. Higgins, was the last mem-.
her of her Immediate family, be-
ing predeceased by !a hailf-brother,
a half-sister„ six sisters and two
brothers, Her husband having, pre-
d eceased her in Febutery 1948,
Surviving is an only daughter,
Mm. Frank B. Pennebaker, (Rheia
Ferrell), Clinton, also several niec-
es and; nephews.
Funeral services were held at
t he Beattie funeral home, July 16
and were conducted by Rev. G. L.
Mills, Ontario Street - United Ch-
urch,. Interment took place in
'Clinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wilber Martin,
R. N. Irwin, Charles Nelson, John
.Nediger, Howard ,Brundlson„ Jobn
Sutter.
Flower-bearers, Hubert Hunter,
Exeter; .Chester Higgins, Blyth;
Nelson Higgins, Gordon Walker,
Wingham.
Relatives from. a distance at the
'funeral were from Salvador, Sask.,
London, Hamilton, Os!haw!a, Exet-
er, Wingham, Bilyth and S'eaforth.
MT S, Higgins kind and cheerful
disposition won her many friends
which was' reflected in the - num-
erous and beautiful floral tributes.

married and living in the west,

Mrs. A.gmts, Waymouth, wife of
Charles Weymouth and a life long
resident of Hullett Township, Pas-
sed 'away in Clinton Public Hos-
pital.on Tuesday evening, July 15,
1958, in her 79th year.
She was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. George Scales
and predeceasing her were three
sisters, Mrs. Amos' (Elizabeth)
Cartwright; Mrs. Maynard (Kate)
Watson, arid Miss Esther Scales.
Mr. and Mrs. Weymouth were
married' in 1916' and farmed on the
8th concession, Hullett Twonnhip.
She was a member of the former
Presbyterian Church In 'Londe's-
