The 1215tb anniversary of too
coming of the .Salkeld family to
Canadaand Goderich was ,001-
ebrated at Kitehagarni Oamp by
about 150 mei-Tibet's ,of the family.
About 150 years ago Joseph
Willson, 'after leaving part of his
family in Eingland and In New
York,- arrived in Goderich and
bought 11,000 acres of land. The
purchase Included the property
where the Court House Park and
Sottare now are and south to the
concession where Mr. George Sal-•
kold the Broad.
One of Mr. Wilson's., daughters,
whom; he had left England,
had married John Salkeld, Carl-
isle, Cumberland, England. Mr,
and Mrs, Salleeld and their family
of seven children came to Canada
and settled on a farm on the
Bayfield Road, There three more
children were born. The desc-
endants of these ten children' met
at Kitcliegarri,
Registration was in charge of
Mrs, Mary Rowed, Godericli. Sin
the absence through illness of the
president, Edward Jenkins, Clint,
on, the vice-president, T. J. Salk-
Lucknow, received the guests,
Dinner was arranged by Mrs. T.
J. Salkeld, Lucknow; Mrs, Simon
Rae, Stratford and Mrs, Gladys
Wallis, Clinton. The program com-
mittee consisted of Joseph Salk-
-old, Mrs. Brent Nelson, and 'Hor-
ton Taimay, Godertich and Larry
Salkeld, Lucknow.
Sports were in the charge of

125th Anniversary of family in Canada

V. Dinnin last weekend, and at-
tended the Orange Walk in Clint-
on
Mrs, A. E. Munn and, daughters,
Karen itfatigaret and Julia,
chener, spent a few days this
week with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. W. V. Dinnin. Richard, who
has been with his grandparents
since Dominion Day, returned to
Kitchener With them on Tuesday.

held at Mrs, Ross Scott's cottage
at Bayfield, by members of the
Brumfield Woman's Association.

winekle; graceful walk, Mrs. Bar-
bel Thompson.
The children enjoyed a program
of sports also and a bounteous
supper was enjoyed outdoors. A
little gift was given to Mrs, Ross
Scott in appreciation of her hos-
pitality.
