Sermons were preached on Sunday by Rev T A Murray, of St Andrew, London, and tea meeting on Monday evening. A refreshing time was had,—One• day recently an old man 'flamed Thos. Brown attempted suicide by trying to cut his throat with a razor. The old man was sent down to the capital. But after a thorough investigation the old manwas sent home and tam told that his friends have been instructed to take better care of him in future and treat him more human or else they will have to try a spell at the county fail. The poor oldman lives with his only daughter who 'has no family to look after. They are in favorable elroutnatanoes and should take better care of the old man.— Hess Bros factory started on Monday last under the name of Hess Bros & Co, Mr George Hess, M P P, Mr Adam Hess and a • gentleman from, Toronto constitute the firm.
