The Wingham Methodist Sabbath
School orchestra inlivened the pro-
ceedings with choice selections during
the evening. --Mr Thos. Miller and
wife have gone to Watford to' visit
heir son, and from there Mr Miller
bell and Henderson supported the
cull.. It was sustained as is ' regular
gospel call and ordered to be trans-
mitted to London•Presbytery, together
with reasons for translation. Mr ASc-
Nabb was appointed to represent this
Presbytery in the matter of the call
before the London Presbytery.
Provisional arrangement . was made
for the induction of Mr Urquhart
The Moderator to preside. Mr Gad.
des fo preach. Mr. Murray to address
the minister. Mr Sutherland to
address the congregation in English
and Mr McQueen in Gaelic. The
Moderator is to fix the date. A peti-
tion • from `Huron congregation,
asking for the section of the Presby-
tery to a sale of live acres of the glebe
land for a cemetery was granted, It
was agreed to instruct the clerk to
assess the congregation on the basis
of families for the Assembly Dele-
gates' Fund. The claims of A'id-
reoeiving Congregations were consider-
ed, and grants asked for Pine River,
Dungannon, Port Albert, Langside
and Belgrave. Mr Law asked that
assessors be appointed to his session
with. a view to the ordination of
Elders.. Mr Hutton, ,of Wingham,
and Mr Jamison, of .East Wawanosh,
were appointed. Mr Ross reported
that he had attended the Bruoe
Presbytery, according to appointment,
and that the scheme of the distribu-
tion of the Mission Fund • was favor-
ably entertained. Final action is to
betaken at a future meeting , of that
Presbytery. The thanks of .the
Presbytery were tendered to Mr Iloss
for' his diligence. Sessions. were in-
structed to make their own arrange-
ments for holding Missionary meetings.
It.'is agreed that the 'q•uestion of
holding a Convention for the discus-
sion of Sabbath School work, the
state of religion, &e, be referred to
the S S commdttee, with instructions
to report at' length .at the *December
meeting. ' Tha'Clerte ''read ..a ' circular
anent*Tlome'' Missions and Augmen-
tation. ' This Presbytery is expected
to contribute
. $900 to Rome Missions
and $550`for Augmentation. It was
agreed' to commend the Home Mis
cion and Augmentation schemes to
our people, instruct the' Clerk to
allocate the amounts asked . from this
Presbytery among the congregations:
on the basis of families, and urge the
congregations to raise the sums
respectively assigned them. Forms
of petitions .to, the House of Commons,
praying for further legislation in re -
peed to Sabbath 'observance, were
handed to members, and it was agreed
that Sessions be instructed to attend
to the subscription$ of these petitions
,in their several'ecngregations and
return them to thePresbyteryat the
:December meeting. ' In the absents()
of . Mr Sutherland, the proposed
scheme for Presbyterial visitations
of congregations, was laid on the
table till next meeting. Mr Ross
referred to the proposed memorial' to
the late Rev' Prof Young, and offered
to receive subscriptions therefor, which
was well received. 'The' Presbytery
adjourned to meet at Wingham `on
Tuesday,1.0th December.

Brussels and Exeter now played the
final game, which was very close and
exciting. Exeter put Sippy to the
boxesaid Brussels put Wardell Behind
the bat. The team from the south
got the lead, but a good d hit or two
would have changed eprcumstances.
Sippy delivered rather a het, 'peculiar
