Helping them receive guests at the door was Mrs. John Gibson, mother of the groom-to-be. Displaying the wedding gifts in the afternoon, was Mrs. Joseph Gibson and in the evening Miss Mabel Harvey performed this. task. Mrs. W. S. Macaulay, Sarn- ia, sister of the bride-elect, show- ed the trousseau. Receiving gifts at the door were 'Wary Yeo in the afternoon and Marion Snell and Eleanor Yea in the evening. Pouring tea at the table, pretty with yellow and white 'mums, -were Mrs. Ernest ,Shaddick and Mrs. Raymond Whitmore in the after- noon, and' in the evening, Mrs. E. E. Brown, Petrolia, and Mrs. Mac Elliott, aunts .of the horibur- ed couple. United Church, lovely with spring flowers, was the set- ting on Thursday afternoon for the annual) Baby Band party, when mothers and children of the Baby Band were 'guests of the Woman's Missionary Society. Over 60 children were present. Mrs. C. D. Daniel presided. Kathy Sikane read sacred pas- sages. Ruth. Arm Traquhair and Roddy Chapman gave the pray- ers. Recitations were given by Gary 'Clement, Jack's Simmons, Anne Keys, Katharine Christie, Caroline' Cook, Albert Corbett, Beth. Cook, Paul Munn, Michael Davis, Brenda. Noakes. Songs; Donna Jean Bell, and Carolyn Lorraine (duet); Katherine Mc- Ewan. and Katherine Munn (du,. et); Douglas Mock, Arlene Chip- chase, Piano selections: Jimmy Traquair, Sharon Smillie; violin selection, Bryan Sanillie, atcorn- partied at the piano by his sister Sharon. A short talk on the work of the Baby Band was given by Mrs. G. Hess. Graduating from the Baby Band into the Mission Band in a grad- gating ceremony were David Ch- arles Beer; Albert Corbett Kath- erine Mann, Paul Munn, Anne Keys, Roderick Chapman, Donna Jean Bell, Jackie Simmons, -Kath- erine MeEwan, Douglas Mock, Caroline Lorraine, John Taylor, Gary Clement .Marilyn Johnston, Joe Iteaburn. Mrs. Laird Mickle contributed plane selections pre- ceding the graduation and Ann A/A*1e sang the graduation song. Mrs, W. B. Cross and Miss M.
