double ring ceremony; The church
was . tastefully decorated with
ferns, candelabra and baskets of
white and yellow 'mums,
The soloist, Aubrey Toll, Blyth,
sang "0 Perfect Love" as the'
bride's mother entered the church,
and "I'll Walk Reside You," dur-
ing the signing of the register,
accompanied by Miss Margaret
Jackson, Auburn, at the organ.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride was lovely in a floor-
length gown of exquisite Alencon
type lace, nylon tulle and net over
Duchess satin fashioned with
snugly fitted bodice embroidered,
beaded and scalloped, Queen Anne
collar and lace lily-point sleeves,
Her full sweeping skirt of panel-
led Alencon lace over nylon tulle
and tiered frills cascaded to a

attended her sister as matron of
honor, gowned in orange ice nylon
chiffon, styled in ballerina length
with a ruffled tiered skirt and
matching stole. She ware white
accessories and carried a bouquet
of white 'mums.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Harold
Knox, Blyth, and Mrs, Donald
Yungblut, Blyth, sister of the
groom, wore nylon chiffon gowns
of lime green, and the flower girls,
Misses Avon Toll and Cheryl Pat-
terson, Blyth, cousins of the bride,
were dressed in orange ice shade,
all identically styled,
The groom and all male at-
tendants wore white dinner jackets
with pink carnations and and mid-
night blue trousers. Kenneth
Johnston, Blyth, was groomsman,
and Harold Knox, Blyth, brother
of the bride, and Donald Yung-
blut, London, were ushers. Master
Bruce Hicks, Centralia, cousin of
the groom. was ringbearer.
The reception was held in the
United Church parlours, Blyth.
The bride's mother received
guests wearing a powder blue
sheath dress with matching jac-
ket, pink and beige accessories,
and corsage of pink roses, and the
groom's mother chose willow green
silk, beige accessories, and cor-
sage of red roses.
Guests were present from
Stouffville, Toronto, Sarnia, Lon-
don, Wroxeter, Elkart, Indiana;
Centralia, Camp Borden, Bryans-
town, Scarboro, Londesboro,
ton, Auburn and Blyth, After the
reception, the soloist sang "May
the Good Lord Bless and Keep
You."
For a wedding trip to Western
Canada, the bride wore a powder
blue dress with matching jacket,
white accessories and corsage of
red roses. On their return, the
couple will reside on the groom's
farm, RR 3, Blyth.

neth 5, Wood exchanged wedding
vows before the Rev, Harold Snell,
Saturday afternoon, June 14 at
James Street United Church, Exe-
ter, The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Alvin McRride, Exeter, and
the late Mr..McBride. The groom,
Toronto, is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Wood, Brussels,
Given in marriage by her bro-
ther, Stuart McBride, Toronto, the
bride wore a floor-length gown of
silk organiza over pink tulle, The
gown, which extended to a chapel
train, was accented with hand em-
broidered motifs and seed pearls,
A tiara in various tones of pink
held her fingertip veil and she
carried a bouquet of pink roses,
stephanotis and lily of the valley.
Wearing identical gowns, of pink
embroidered silk organza, bridal
attendants were Mrs, Leslie Eason,
Stratford, as matron of honor, with
Miss Joan Johnston, Toronto, and
Miss Elayne Wood, Brussels, sister
of the groom, as bridesmaids,
Flower girl Julie McBride was
also gowned in pink,
John McConnell, Goderich, was
groomsman, with Gordon Lane,
London, and James Wylie, Wrox-
eter, as ushers, David McBride,
Toronto, was ringbearer.
For a wedding trip to Maine,
U,S.A., the bride donned a pure
silk ensemble in tones of blue with
white accessories. The bride is a
graduate of StratfOrd General
Hospital School of Nursing. The
groom is a graduate of the Canad-
ian Memorial Chiropractic Col-
lege, Toronto. The couple will re-
side in Clinton,

Mrs, Wilhelmina Letlierland,
widow of Edgar 1401°44nd died
in, Clinton Public Hospital on Fri-
day morning, .June in her 81st
Year, She was a daughter of
the late. Mr, and Mrs, Herman
:Roblz and .was born in Tucker-
smith Township in 1878,
In 1900 she married Edgar
Letherland„ They farmed in
Tuckersrnith until his death in
1918 when she and the family
moved to the Auburn district
where she had since resided, She
was a member of Knox Presbyter-
ian Church, there.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs, Frank (Viola) Raithby and
Mrs, Reg, (Irene) Schultz, Au-
burn; Mrs. Norman tAnnie)
cent, Londesboro; two brothers,
Alvin, Auburn and Harvey, Blyth,
Also surviving are 11 grandchild-
ren and four great-grandchildren,
The body rested at the T. K.
Arthur funeral home, Auburn, un-
til Monday when the Rev. A J.
Lane conducted funeral services.

The funeral of William. M. Mc-
Dowell held from the Arthur fun-
eral home, Auburn, ,on Monday, June 9, was largely attended. The
service was in the charge of Rev,
R, S. Hlltz, of the United Church
at Auburn. Pallbearers were Gor,-

Mr. McDowell who had been in

in Clinton Public Hospital on June
