People are reported to be very
happy about the beautiful new
line of ice cream cartons, Canada
Packers recently introduced,
Reaction from both the .consurn,
er and the dealer have been ex-
tremely favourable, according to
statements from officials of Can-
ada Packers.
According to Fronk .cbittiele
plant manager for Canada Pack-
ers in this area, drug stores, groc-
ery stores, every store that sells
"York""' Ice Cream has reported
exceptionally fine reaction from
their customers.
One dealer reperted that since
each flavour Is packed in its .own
eelotireel carton, the consumer
selects the flavour desired.
Also, a full-colour photograph of a.
dish of ice cream is on the outside
of the carton.
A supermarket manager stated
that the "new" 'Cork cartons are
not only the most beautiful he has
seen, but that they make ice cream
buying easier. He stated, that's

In 1851 Reiv. James Duncan be-
oame the minister of the little
church, and according to the min-
utes of the !Session he was indite-
ted in May 1855„ The .church
when first built was without any
musical /instrument, as was the
custom. in the pad Presbyterian
Kirks. Later, however, a small
organ was added and caused some
disagreement between members of
the church, About that time
some of the names on the register
have the word "removed" placed
after them.

Gwen. Mrs. 'Wilmer Jones directed
contests. Luncheon was served.

McBride arranged the presenta-
tion.

settlers and some of their child-
