Dennis Bisback, Clinton, spent
Sunday with the family too.
Mrs. J. Fraser visited her
daughter, Mrs. William Parker
and son J. Fraser in London from
Friday to Sunday. !Her husband
who accompanied her to London
went on to Cleveland by plane
to visit his brother Hugh Fraser,
Paineville, Ohio, who is ill. in
hospital, returning home on Sun-
day.
Trinity Guild
The Trinity Church Guild me-
trier monthly meeting was held on
Tuesday evening at the Albion
Hotel. Guests of Mrs. Alma Bas-
sett and Miss Ella MacKay and
12 members were present. Mrs.
Percy Weston, president, presided
and the Rev. E. J. B. Harrison
opened the meeting with prayer.
In the absence of Mrs. Fred Wes-
ton, Mrs. Bassett presented the
treasurer's report for adoption
and Mrs. Ken Merrier gave her
secretarial report. Plans were dis-
cussed: in regard to the r church
supper and bazaar to be held on
July 18, and articles were turned
in for, same by the members, else
was planned for the annual' bake-
sale -to !be - b'eld! on July 26. A
social hour followed and refresh-

The theme of the devotional
period was "Thankfulness', Mrs,
Poth emphasized this, by describ-
ing a visit to the school for the
blind in Brantford, and how th-
ankful people should be for sight.
She also read a poem. The hymn;
was "The Lord's my Shepherd."
Mrs, R. Raddicle read the Script-
ure, Car. 16, and prayer was of-
fered by Mrs, Path.

of Trinity Church for current
expenses.
It was planned to assist the
Church Guild with filowers for
the summer. Mrs. G. Bedchamber

The guest speaker was Mrs.
Reg Bally Clinton, who gave a
very interesting description of a
trip which she and her husband
bad taken through 25 state's; of
thhe. U.S.A. She projected colour-
ed elides most of which were
taken in California, New Orleans
and Florida.
Mrs. Pala was assisted by Mrs.
A, F. See'tchmer and Mrs. May-
nard Corrie in serving lunch.

A BY-LAW REGULATING THE
CARRYING AND DISCHAR-
GE OF FIREARMS WITHIN
THE LIMITS OF THAT
PART OF THE CORPORAT-
ION OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF STANLEY COMPOSED
OF THE POLICE VILLAGE
OF BAYFIELD.
Whereas it has been deemed ad-
visable to regulate the carrying
and discharge of firearms in that
part of the Corporation of the
Township of Stanley known as the
Police Village of Bayfield.
Now therefore the Municipal
Council of the Township of Stan-
ley, pursuant to the authority vest-
ed in it by the Municipal Act,
R.S.O. 1950, Chapter 243, Section
388, Subsection (1), Paragraph 37,
enacts as follows:
(1) No person shall discharge a
firearm within the limits of the
Police Village of Bayfield or upon
any public highway therein.
(2) No person shall carry a fire-
arm within the limits of the Police
Village of Bayfield or upon any
public highway therein unless the
same is dismantled or in a case
used for the carrying and trans-
portation of such firearm.
(3) For the purposes of this by-
law "firearm" means:
(a) Anything that is designed
to affect the discharge of
any pellet or ammunition,
(b) Anything that a person uses
or intends to use to effect
the discharge of any pellet
or ammunition,
and without restricting the gener-
ality of the foregoing, includes any
rifle, pistol, shot-gun, air gun, air
pistol, spring gun or any class or
type thereof.
(4) Any person who contravenes
the provisions of this by-law shall
be guilty of an offence and liable
to a penalty not exceeding Fifty
($50.00) Dollars (exclusive of
costs) or to imprisonment to a
term not exceeding twenty-one
(21) days,
(5) EVery such payment shall be
recoverable under the Summary
Convictions Act, Revised Statutes
of Ontario, 1950, Chapter 379.
