NOTICE
To All Owners and Harbourers, of Dogs within the
Limits of the Town of Clinton;
As dog licenses are due and payable March 1st of each
year, we have instructed the Police Department to impound
any and all dogs running at large without a license tag.
Captured dogs will be held for 48 hours, and if not claimed
and license and impounding fees paid within the above named
time, any dog so held will be destroyed.
And further take notice that according to a Town By-Law
any dogs found running at large during the months of May,
June and July may be destroyed. And further take notice
that any dog running at large without a tag, licensed by the
Town, may be destroyed during any month of the year.

RCAF Ladies Auxiliary
Holds Successful
Tea, Apron Bake Sale
On Saturday, May 10, a Moth-
er's Day tea, bake sale and ap-
ron table was held in the Town
Hall, under !the sponsOrship of
the Ladies Auxiliary of RCAF
Station 'Clinton. Baking was' s .
icited from PMQ
oil
and the aprons
Were made by Auxiliary members.
The door prize, a ham, was
won by Mrs. Marion Truell, Ctlin-
ton. Later in the afternoon, MIS.
Ha/1dpi sold tickets on three
special cakes. These were won by
Mrs. Bruce, Mrs. Danberger and
Mrs. S. lFre;eman, in a cakewalk
around the tea table.
The two blankets raffled off
were won by Mrs. Ransom and
'Mrs, Christian, The venture was
a success on all counts and a
vote of thanks is given. to all who
helped.

"The lack of a warm rain and
cold nights is curtailing growth
of all crops. The sugar beets,
turnips and early planted corn
are slow in coming through the
ground. General corn planting
is in progress.
"Some cattle are out to grass
but where ample feed is avail-
able cattle are being kept in the
stables.
"The ninth,,annual spring sale
was held by the BAron Hereford
Association on Tuesday, May
13. Ten bulls sold for an aver-
age price of $460.50. The top
price bull was consigned by
Hirtzel Bros., Creditors, and
was purchased by Alvin Walper,
auctioneer at Dashwood for
$750. The second highest price
for bulls, $500, was paid by
Tustian, Kagawong,
Ontario, Manitoulin Island, and
was consigned by Whitney
Coates & Son, Contralia, Seven
heifers averaged $312.10. The
top price $585 was paid by Wil-
liam J. Clark, RR 5, Goderich,
for the lot consigned by Heber
J. Eedy & Son. Four cows with
calves at side averaged $318.75.
The sale average for 21 lots was
$384.05. Auctioneer was W. S.
O'Neil; ringman, Bert Pepper.

The Protestant Chapel, RCAF
Station Clinton, was the scene of
a lovely wedding on May 10 when
Phyllis Jean, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Eldon S. Baines, Nashwaak-
sis. New Brunswick, became the
bride of Robert Douglas Camp,
RCAF Station Clinton, son of Mr,
and Mrs. Edgar R. Camp, Barker's
Point, New Brunswick. The Rev.
C, H. McLaren officiated at the
double ring ceremony,
Given In marriage by her fath-
er, the bride was lovely in a blue
brocaded Silk sheath with match-
ing bolero jacket, White shoes,
tiny white linen hat and fingerless
gloves of nylon net completed her
costume, Her only ornament was
tiny rhinestone earrings, and a
corsage of pink roses,
Maid of honour was Leading
Airwoman Bunny Gammage,
Montreal, Quebec, also at Station
Clinton, who wore navy blue
Chemise suit with white accessor-
ies and a corsage of red roses,
Groomsman was AC2 Karl
Bowles, Amherst, Nova Scotia, of
Station Clinton,
For the reception held at 70
King Street, Clinton, the bride's
mother received in printed silk
with corsage of yellow and white
carnations and pink accessories.
The groom's mother assisted in
brown printed silk, white acces-
sories, a corsage of yellow and
white carnations,
Guests attending included Mr.
