'`Cold! weather 'and frost in
some 'areas has almost stopped
'growth as fair as pastures are
concerned. If the frost continues
the crops of legtime hay be
somewhat reduced. All of the
spring seeded cereals have germ-
bated very well and although
the growth is 'slow most of these
crops were well, rooted before
the weather turned cold.
"Rain last weekend did a. great
'deal to promote growth in, all
ts and was acclaimed the
dollar rain by farrners in
this district A reasonable dry
spring has made at possible for
farmers' with early pasture to
turn some of their livestock out
for the summer. If warm weath-
er returns most of the corn will
be sown during the next week,"
