Members were reminded that do-

orial Scholarship Fund should be
brought to the next meeting
which will be held May 27.
Delegates to the Regional Con-
ference to be held in Knolhvood
Park School, London, on May 10,
were appointed.
Barbara Inder and Dale King,
entrants in the Canadian Legion
Public Speaking contest each
gave an interesting address, The
former spoke on, "Dr. Marion
Hilliard", while the latter took
for his topic, "1 Travelled with
Champlain".

Miss Morwennow Judd
Miss Morwennow Isabel Judd
-died on Wednesday, April 30, in
Clinton Public Hospital, after a
long illness.
Funerall service was from the
Ball and Mutch funeral home, to
Clinton 'Cemetery, on Saturday
afternoon, May 3, by the Rev.
Grant Mills.
Pall-bearers were Clarence
Neilans, Matt Nediger,
Beck, John Livermore, Barrett
Taylor and Thomas' Deeves. Flow-
er-bearers were Mrs. Henry Ro-
man, Mrs. Wes Shobbrook, Mrs.
Mabel Miller, Mrs. J. E. Cook,
Me's. Harry Gould and Mrs, C.
McPherson.
Born in Whitby, the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Judd, Miss Judd had lived all of
her life in Clinton. She was a
member of Ontario Street United
Church.
Miss Judd was Past Grand Mis-
tress of the -Huronic Rebekah
Lodge No. 306, Clinton, and al-
so Past Mistress of Clinton Loyal
Orange Benevolent Association
No. 377.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs.
Harriett Lawson; Mrs. - David
(Lot-tie) Shaw and Mrs. A. (Lil-
lian) Honour and Mats. Donald
(Anne) Martyn and one brother
Edwin Judd.

Mr. and Mrs. James R. Stirling
are spending a few days with
friends in Bruce County.
Mrs. Robert Haines, of Severn
Bridge, is visiting her parents; Mr.
and Mrs. Reid Torrance, for two
weeks.

Hospital Grant
Clinton 'Public Hospital will ,re.
calve a special rehabilitation
grant of $8,000 from, the Ontario
government 'this. year, it was an.
nounced this weeic, by Charlie
MacNaughton, the PC candidate
for -the May 12 by-election.
Sirnikir grants, based on. $200
a bed, have been, provided for all
hospitals in the province to help
keep patient costs., .down.
