Te Clinton Branch of the Can- adian Legion is sending a strong five-ipin bowling team to Waterloo on Sunday to compete in Ontario Command Bowling Championship Match. Members of ..the six-man team are: Jim Graham, 'captain; Bert Harris, Len Arnston, Dick Freeman, Glen Carter and Bill Harris, all members of the Clinton branch. The team was picked following a bowl-off at the Clinton Bawl- iiig Alley last Saturday afternoon. The branch authorized expenses for the trip at the regular meet- ing Monday night. Helmar Snell Is Promoted; Will Go To Goderich Constable Helmar Snell, a police- man in Seaforth for more than 25 years, has been promoted to Corporal and transferred to God- erich. ,Cpl. Snell 'began his police car- eer on January 1, 1933, when he was sworn in as, chief of police of Seaforth. Eight years later he was appointed to the Huron cowl,. ty force, and was in charge of the Seaforth detachment, and was re- sponsible' for neighbouring toWn- ships.
