The blend is selected by the garage attendant to suit the needs of his customer. As he adjusts the dial to pick out the right blend, an automatic adjustment makes sure that the correct price for that blend is recorded on the pump. Customers like custom blending, for they have' an opportunity of choosing the' proper 'grade for their own motor. Sunoco provides a chart by which the buyer knows what to buy, If he finds that his motor will operate well on a low- er octane than that which is re- commended, then he will find a saving to himself in being able to buy cheaper. The lowest blend is the regular Sunoco 200. Then 210, 220, 230, 2t0 and 260 are also available, with a price spread between each. one. The 260 blend is the most ex- pensive. Buyers of fuel for use on the arm will have Sunoco 200 deliver- ed to his tanks. If his car de- mands a higher. octane; he will be able to purchase it at the garage of his choice.
