Dr. N. W. Haynes
Dr, Nelson Willard Haynes,
Clinton, passed away Friday, Feb-
ruary 28, in Victoria Hospital,
London, in his 60th year. He Dad
been in poor health for the past
year, and seriously ill for two
weeks:
He was born in Fullarton Town-
ship; ",March 30, 1898, the son of
the late Gerrance Haynes and
Mary Thomas. He graduated from
University of Toronto, Dental Col-
lege, in 1920. In 1921 he married
the former Elizabeth Sterling, who
predeceased him ten months ago.
He practiced dentistry in Edmon-
ton for some years before moving
to Clinton. He served in World
War I. He was a member of
the 'Gyro Club in Edmonton.
Su:waiving him, are one daughter,
Dr. Shirley Appleiby, Toronto, and
one son, Sterling, Edmonton, five
grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.
3. W. (Anne) Ferguson, Toronto,
and Mrs. Allan (Adelia) McPhail,
Fullarton. He was predeceased by
two brothers, Dr. Wesley Haynes
and Fred Haynes.
The late Dr. Haynes rested at
the Heath-Leslie funeral home,
Mitchell, where Rev. D. J, Lane,
Clinton, conducted the funeral ser-
vice Monday morning. Pallbear-
ers were Harold Davis, William
Felling, Ormond lVfacDougal„Roy
Reed, Lorne Harmer, Nelson Bak-
er, all of Fullarton. Interment
took place in Park Lawn Cemet-
ery, Toronto, with Rev. James
Findlay conducting the graveside'
service.
Michael J. Stock
Michael J. • Stock, Hohnesville,
died suddenly at his home Satur-
day in his 74th year. Requiem
high mass was sung Monday mor-
ning at St. Joseph'S Roman Catho-
lic Church, 'Clinton, by Rev, J.
W. P, Graham. Burial ,was in the
Roman Catholic section of Clinton
cemetery.
Mr. Stock was a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. ,Peter Stock
and a native of Kinkora. He was
a produce dealer and he resided
in Holmesville for the past 40
years,
Surviving are his widow, the
former Wilhelmina Ratz; two sons,
Lloyd, Aylmer and Gordon, at
home; three daughters, Mrs. Wil-
liam (Charlotte) McClinchey and
Jarvis Horton

Residents of Mensall and com-
munity were shocked on learning
of the sudden passing of Jarvis
Horton, a prominent and highly
esteemed resident of the village,
who,died suddenly in South Hur-
on District Hospital, Exeter, on
Sunday evening. He had been ad-
_knitted earlier in the day with a
heart seizure.
In his 73rd year, he was born
in Tuckersmith, a son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Horton. Fal-
lowing his marriage, he farmed ,on
highway '4, between Kippen and
Bruceftield, retiring to Hensall 11
years ago.
He was an active member of
the United Church, an honorary
elder, a former member of the
choir far many years,
Surviving are his widow, the
former Olive Mitchell, one son,
Stuart, Montreal, two grandchild-
ren, ane sister„Mrs. Grace liar-
pole, Hensall. Public funeral ser-
vices are being held on Wednesday
from B.onthron funeral chapel,
with Reir, Charles Daniel officia-
ting, Burial will be in McTag-
gart's cemetery.
John T. Bonthron

Mrs. R, 3. Paterson received
word on Monday of the death of
her brother-in-law John. T. Bon-
thron, who passed away on Mon-
day, March 10, at Moose Jaw,
Saskatchewan.
Born in Hay `Township ,he was
the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Jaines Bonthron, Hensall, Mr,
Bonthron was a retired CPR rail-
road conductor, and held impor-
tant civic positions. He was also
very prominent in fraternal af-
fairs.
Surviving are his widow, the
former Nan Horton, Seaforth,
three daughters and one sister.
Funeral services were held at
Moose Jaw, on Wednesday, March
12, with burial in Moose Jaw Cem-
etery.
Miss Betty Stock, both of London;
Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Williams,
Goderich; three brothers, John,
Dunclas; Bernard, London; and
Clement, Vancouver, B.C.; one sis-
ter, Mrs. Caroline Stanley, India-
na; and ten grandchildren.
