on Monday night in a best three-.

Bob Doig scored twice and Jack
Meriam once in last night's game
in Pt. Edward. Clinton pulled their
goaltender in the last minute of
play to try and tie the score with
six forwards oni the ice, but
Edward broke lopse and scored in
an empty net to make it 5-3.

• Monday night's game here was
a very rugged affair with 18 pert-
altieS being assessed;.. seven to the
Colts and 11 to the visitors.
At 16.07 in the first period,
Clinton goalie Don Denomme re-
ceived a bad gash on the head
from a Pt. Edward stick, 'arid had
to be rushed to a doctor's office
for several stitches. The extra
three minutes and 53 seconds were
added' to the second period, with
Denomme back in the Clinton net.
Pt. Edward led 3-2 at the end
of the first period. Colts goals
were scored by Jack lVleriam and,
Ken Doig.
In the second, the Colts went
ahead' 6-4 on two goals by Bob
Doig and one, each by Ken Doig
and John Hartley. This Period

At 6.36 , both Bev Boyes and
lYleriam, got :penalties' at -the same
time, During this two minutes the
puck was only out of the Clinton
end once, and on 'that occasion

Bowling League

With the February 28 scheduled
game fir the RCAF Ladies Bowl-
ing League• completed, in "A"
division, Buttons with 83 points
and in "a" division, "Blowonts"
with 91 points, remain in first
place in the standing,

triple honours with a score of 722
and Mrs. 'M. LeClerc with a score
of 283 won high single honours.

third goal of the game on a pas-
sing play with Hartley and Bob
Garon.

picked to take part in the Young Canada Week event at Goderich

and Ahrens with 8 each; Harmer,
3; Parkinson and East, 2 each;
Johns, Deigel, Ahrens, Blach, Frier
and Mitchell.
Clinton Seniors tied their game
44-44, with MacDonnel of Clinton
and McNaught of Mitchell ac-
counting for 20 points each. Other
Clinton point-getters were Ken-
neth Cummings, 16; Arthur Grov-
es, 6 and Bert •Clifford 2. Other
Clinton players were Tom Logan,
John Elliott, Peter Hoodspith,
Mike Mickelski, Bob Billings, John
Shaddick, David' Beattie and Mur-
