Damage: $2,000
(By our liaison correspondent)
Fire of undetermined , origin Sat-
urday, destroyed a two-story frame
poultry buildirig at the rear of
the home of Elzar Mousseau, Kip-
per, killing 450 pullets. Loss was
estimated at $2,000.
Mr. Mousseau had left his home
a short time before the fire was
discovered by Miss. Mabelle White-
man who lives in the area. When
she was unable' to contact Mr.
Mousseau by telephone at his
home, she phoned a village store
and located Mr. Mousseau there.
Brucefield firemen responded
and then called 4Hensall firemen
for help. Neither department was
able to get pumpers to the scene
owing to about 300 yards of snow-
blocked farm laneway but laid
hose to the building.

seau's son-in-law Kenneth Mc-
