The lodge members thanked all

The box social and dance held
in the Forester's hall on Friday
night was very well attended. 'The
installation of officers of the lodge
was held at the beginning of the
evening, by Bro, Hockshaw, Kit-
chener, and Bro. Lumley, of the
High Court.
Bro. Matzanhe auctioned the
boxes off. All boxes were excep-
tionally well made and very pret-
ty. Mrs. Frank Riley's box got
first prize and Mrs. Oiver Ander-
son's, second,
The lodge members were pleas-
ed with the evening and thank all
ladies that brought boxes and
helped in any way. A euchre and
dance will be held, Friday, Feb-
ruary 21,

Mrs, Wes. Vodden
Mrs. Wesley Vodden, formerly
Eunice May Ball, died on Friday,
February 14, 1958, in her 77th
year, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Bert Shobbrook, RR 1, Aub-
urn.
'She was a daughter of the late
John Ball and Sarah Jane Palmer,
and was born in Hullett township,
Maitland Block, on August 5,
1881. Fifty-three years ago she
was married to her bereaved hus-
band, Wesley Vodden, They
farmed on concession 9, Hullett,
with the exception of five years
in East Wawanosh. She was a
member of the Londesboro WA,
Grandmothers' Club and Summer-
hill Community Club.
Surviving besides her husband,
are one daughter (Dora) Mrs.
Bert Shobbrook, and five sons,
Herbert, White Horse, Yukon
Territories; Fred, Clinton; Roy,
Summerhill; Leonard and Ken-
neth, Paris; one sister, (Mary)
Mrs. John G. Gibbings, Clinton;
and one brother Amos Ball,
Goderich; ten grandchildren and
three great grandchildren,
The funeral service was held
Tuesday, February 18, from the
Bail and Mutch funeral home,
Clinton. Service was conducted
by Rev. J.' T. White. "Safe in the
Arms of JeStts" was sung by Mrs.
Thomas Allen, tondesboro.
Pallbearers were Leslie Ball,
Percy Gibbings, Norman Wright,
Bert Garrett, Alvin Vodden and
Ross Crich. Flower-bearers were
Hugh Bali and Stanley Ball, all
nephews of the deceased.
Temporary entombment took
place at the Clinton mausoleum
with burial to take place later in
Ball's Cemetery.

Goshen Mission Band met in
the church basement on Sunday
morning with Mrs, Clare McBride

Charge of program. A Japanese
game opened the meeting called
"cord and Ping.". The story
from Kenji was told tbrotigh ,pic-
tures which were drawn and pain-
ted by Gwen McBride. There
were about 30 children present.
