derwent an operation in Victoria
Hospital two weeks ago is con-
valescing at her daughter's home
in London.

lene Pierce were weekend visit-
ors with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Gamow., Trenton. Little Vicky
Garrow who has been holiday-
ing with ,her grandparents re-
turned home with them. Mrs.
John Shobbrook went as far as
Oshawa with them.

Due to the stormy weather

Bert Peck, Hentall, former res-
ident of Babylon Line, is in hos-
pital in .London, where he under-
went surgery.
Melvin Elliott had the misfor-
tune to fall off the horse he was
riding and fracture his ankle and
it is• now in a cast
Ronald Armstrong spent the
weekend With his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. john Armstrong, return-
ing to Woodstock on Monday Mor-
ninc.
Mrs. Edgar Schnell, Carnrose,
Alberta, is spending a few weeks
with her mother Mrs. Robert Mc-
Bride, Kippen. The latter is on
the sick list.
Anson McKinley attended a
meeting in Belleville, where he
was guest speaker. He told of
his trip to Indiana with Farm
Management Group. Bob Allen,
Brucefield, showed pictures of the
trip.
Goshen United Annual
The annual meeting of the
Goshen United Church and Sun-
day School, was held on January
31. About 60 sat down to a pot
luck supper, which was enjoyed by'
all.
Rev. T. J. Pitt presided, opening
with a short worship period. Mrs.
Bruce Keys was appointed secre-
tary. Rev. Pitt reported 44 fam-
ilies with a membership of 115.
In the absence of Mrs. John
Armstrong, Mrs. B. Keys gave the
report for the WIVIS, having rais-
ed $337.45, with the allocation be-
ing $300. Mrs, Elgin McKinley
reported for the expense fund,
Mrs. Roy McBride ,the WA treas-
urer, reported $403.68 raised last
year. Frank McClinchey, clutych
treasurer, reported $2,181 raised
for • current expenses, and $488.35
for the M and M Fund.
