Last-Place Blackwell Team Beats Colts
In High-Scoring, Rough Contest
It is very encouraging for the
coaches', of Peewee teams to see
so. many of the parents out to
watch their boys play their
hockey. There are a number of
faithful parents who never miss
a game and of late some of the
rest must have been either watch-
ing TV or reading the papers in
which. the slogan has been "Don't
send him-TAKE' HIM", for quite
a few have been out.
Although the score would indic-
ate a onesided game this is not
the case. As it happened the
Red Wings were short a number
of players and the good line of
the Canadians took advantage of
their handicap.
However, the two coaches got
together and agreed to play their
small players at the same time.
On the Red Wing team Mark
SChoenhals took the faney of the

Walsh, Schoenhals, Stanley and
Gautreau.

Jeffrey (2), Pennington, Garrick,

5,000 Hogs Sold
To One Customer
By Bog Agency
The largest single sale of hogs
in the five -year history of the
Ontario Hog Producers Marketing
Agency was made an January 22,
when 5,000 hogs wer sold to one
firm at an increase of 50 cents
per hundredweight over immedia-
tely previous 'bids, Charles IVfan-
nis, president of the Ontario Hog
Producera Ca-operative .announc-
ed.
The; 50 cent increase per hund-
redweight in price is equal to
$3,750 or 75' cents per hog, Mr.
McInnis said.
"This sale at such a price," Mr.
Innis stated, "would not have
been possible without our 14 mar-
keting points acrOss. Ontario
through which almost 80 'percent
of Ontario hogs pare moving. Par-
ticularly impressive about the per-
formance of these marketing
points is that the volume at two
of these paints, is now frequently
ahead of that at the Ontario stock
yards in Toronto."
Prices for hogs as recorded 'by-
the Ontario Hog Producers Co-
operative opened at 28% 'cents
per Pound last week and closed at
29% cents.
