Mrs, John Tebbutt was hostess
to the SS No. 4 Goderich Town-
ship Community Club, for the
December meeting. There was -a
good attendance and the presid-
ent, Mrs. M. Jones was in charge.
Roll call was a donation to the
Children's Aid Society, amounting
to a contribution of $5 to the soc-
iety. A donation was sent for the
TB seals. It was decided to have
a social evening at the school,
and this was held December 27.
The slate of officers for this year
was read. Lunch was served with
Mrs. W. Forbes and Mrs. William
Lobb asisting the holtess. The
next meeting will be at the home
of Mrs. L. Tyndall.

The annual meeting of the Hol-
mesville United Church Sunday
School was held Friday evening,
January 3, Rev. J. A, McKim,
minister of the Church, acted as
chairman, and opened the meeting
with prayer. Barrie Walter read
the minutes of the last annual
meeting and William Norman gave
the treasurer's report, Rev, Mc-
Kim conducted the election of of-
ficers and teachers,. and then clos-
ed the meeting with a benedic-
tion.
The 1958 Sunday School officers
and teachers are: superintendent,

CLINTON AIRMAN ESCAPES
UNINJURED IN WRECK
Ivy pacement caused a spectac-
ular accident near Hensall on Fri-
day, that ,wrecked a 1950 car. and
nearly pinned the driver to the
bottom of a 12-foot ditch.
Wilfred Hudson, 34, RCAF Sta-
tion Clinton, escaped uninjured
after his car left Highway 4 one
mile south of Hensall. His car
skidded into a guard rail, smashed
off five posts, flipped over and
came •to rest on its roof at the
bottom of the ditch. Damage was
estimated at $500.
