Joseph Browning, Swindon, Eng-
land, and the late Mr, Browning,
in St, Paul's Anglican Church
here.
Given in marriage by her father,
the' bride wore a ballerina length
gown of peau de faille. The mold-
ed bodice, with its Sabrina neck-
line appliqued with theifeire lace,
extended into a bouffant skirt,
Her fingertip veil of French tulle
illusion was caught to a tiny pill-
box of matching material, and she
carried a white Bible crested with
a white gardenia.
The maid of honer was Miss
Barbara Middleton, Clinton, and
the bridesmaids were Miss Joyce
Durst, Stratford and Miss Blanche
Westcott, Seaforth. They were
gowned identically in red silk taf-
feta, with matching hats, and each
carried muffs of white chrysan-
themums.
The ring bearer was Brian
Scribbins, London, nephew of the
bride, and the best man was
Thomas Albion, London. Ushers
were brothers of the bride, George
T. Scribbins, London, and Gordon
F. Scribbins, Toronto.
Miss Jayne Mary Snell, Clinton,
was soloist, and organ music was
by the church organist, Mrs. Theo
Fremlin.
At the reception' in the parish
hall, the bride's mother received
the guests wearing a cocktail-
length dress of French lace in a
champagne tone over powder blue,
with matching accessories, and a
corsage of yellow roses. For
travelling the bride chose a tweed
suit with rose accessories and a
fur jacket. Mr. and Mrs. Brown-
ing will reside in. Winnipeg, Man.
The bride is a graduate of Strat-
ford Teachers' College and was
teaching in London.

Wedding vows were exchanged
by Jean Isabel Armstrong, Hen-
Sal% and Merlin John Love, Len-
clop, in a charming ceremony at
Hensall United Church, Friday,
December 27, by the Rev. R. H.
Love, brother of the groom, and
Rev, C. D, Daniel, minister of the
church,
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George Armstrong, Hen-
sall, and the groom's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Love, Strat-
ford.
Miss Greta Lammie, church or-
ganist, prcivided traditional wed-
ding music and accompanied the
soloist Kenneth near, London,
who sang "Two Shall 13e One,"
"'Lord's. Prayer", and "Where'er
You Walk,"
Given in marriage by her fath-
er the bride wore a formal gown
of Italian Duppione silk, styled
with Sabrina neckline outlined
with simulated pearls and irrides-
cent sequins, long tapered sleeves
and skirt extending into a chapel
train.. Her veil was of imported
French illusion and she carried a
bridal bouquet of red roses.
Mrs. Gary Corlett, Toronto, at-
tended the bride as matron of
honor, and the bridesmaids were
Mrs. Jolin Simmons, Hensall, and
Mrs. Barbara MacDonald, Toron-
to. The trio were gowned in red
shot taffeta featuring long sleeves
and bouffant skirt, white fur hats
and carried matching white fur
muffs, completing their ensembles.
Groomsman for his brother was
Hugh Love, Niagara Falls, Usher-
ing were Raymond Mulford and
Donald Meer.
The Wedding reception was held
at Armstrong's, Exeter. For trav-
elling to North Atlantic States,
the bride chose a tweed suit with
brown coat and matching access-
ories.
They will reside in London,
The groom is a graduate of Un-
iversity of Western Ontario.

Tarty Convention
Those who found the telecasts
of the Progressive-Conservative
nomination in Ottawa in 1956
particularly interesting, will no
doubt take an equal or whetted
interest in the coming telecasts of
the Liberal convention.
Coverage this time will be on a
coast-to-coast basis, the most ex-
tensive coverage ever given this
kind of event ' in Canada.. There
will also be a nation-wide radio
coverage.
On Tuesday, January 14, tele-
cast tine will be from 8 to 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, January 15, times
will be from 2.30 to 4 p.m.; from
7,30 to 8,30 p.m. Then on Thurs-
day, January 16, times will be
from 9 to 10 p.m. It is expected
that television stations at Lon-
don, Wingham and Kitchener in
this area will carry the telecasts.

of the death of her brother,
James alatchford, who died on
Christmas Day at Vancouver, 13.C.
in his 79th year.

Mrs. Wilbur Jewitt on Thursday,

Funeral service was held in the
Beattie funeral home, Rattenbury
Street East, Clinton, on Thurs-
day afternoon 'by Rev. J. A. Mc-
Kim, for Nellie Gertrude Jenkins,
beloved wife of Harry Charles-
worth, who passed away at her
home on Ratteribtiry Street East,
Monday, December. 30, after a
lengthy illness,
She was the daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. John Jenkins and mar-
ried Harry Charlesworth on Dec-
ember 6, 1922. Her husband car-
ries on a feed and seed business
in Clinton's business district.
She was a member of Wesley-
Willis United Church and active
in church work,
Surviving besides her husband
is one step-daughter, Ellen, Mrs.
Percy H. Atkinson, London, two
grandchildren Carlyle and Gerald.
Atkinson and one sister Mrs. Will-
iam J .Vadden, Clinton.
Pallsbearers were Edward Jen-
kins, Charles Wise, ,John Lanes,
Fletcher Townshencl: William J.
Vodden and George A. McCall.
Flower - bearers were Grant
Snell, William Holland and Ed-
ward Belt
had taught school for some years
in Berlin, North Dakota, He was
an active worker in the Baptist
Church in Vancouver, and helped
to organize the small church,
which was expanded to such a
large congregation that loud
speakers are used.
Surviving are three daughters,
one son and one grandchild; three
sists, Mrs August Peterson, Rap-
id City, S.D.; Mrs. Court Holies-,
Windsor, Virginia and Mrs. Jinks, I
Hensall.
