Woods and J, L. Buchan were with her sister, Mrs, R. H. Middleton and family, Hen- sail on Christmas Day. Mrs. LeRoy Path accompanied by her mother Mrs. William R. Jowett, Goderich, went to Elmira to spend Christmas with her -cis- ter, Mrs. E. W. Kendall and fam- ily dr& her son. Ronald, Toronto, also joined them for the day. - Mrs, William R. Jowett was taken suddenly ill and in the ev, ening _went to the Kitchener Wat- erloo Hospital where she is mak- ing satisfactory recovery. LeRoy Path spent Christmas day at New. Dundee with his father, Frederiek Poth, who pas- sed away early Thursday morning. Funeral service was held on Sat- urday. Newton and daiialater Misp Joan- 01 OBITUARY Herbert Rick (By our Bayfield correspondent) Herbert Biek, died in Clinton- Public Hospital on. Christmas Day, He had a heart condition and suffered „,a, paralytic stroke about a week previous fp his demise, Born in England, April. 27, 1887, he came to Canada 50'yeara ago. Although he had been employed for a short time In logging in Northern .Ontario; he was a far- mer. He was married to Mrs. Jessie Nicholson McGee, September 20, 1920, and they lived in Tucker- smith Township. Eleven years ago, -they came to reside with, his wife's daughter, Miss Gertrude McGee; RR 3, Bayifeld, During his residence at Bayfield. he was interested in agricultural work and served as a committee member of the Bayfield Agricul- tural Society. He was identified with the Bay- field Baptist Church. He ins survived by his widow.
