,Christmas Sunday was observed
on the Varna pastoral charge,
United Church with appropriate
services at Goshen and Varna.
Christmas hymns and carols were
sung. There were large congrega-
tions and both churches were nic-
ely decorated with Christmas
trees for the occasion, The topic
of the sermon by the Rev. T, J.
Pitt was "The Royal Road 'to
Bethlehem."
On Sunday night a group of
young people, members of the
IIPU went out carol singing to
shut-ins, etc. On their •return, to
the 'Varna Church, some mem-
bers of the WA served a delicious
lunch. Miss Soan McClinchey,
president,* thankedthe ladies for
their kindness.
On Christmas Eve there will be
a service in the Varna United
Church at 8.30 p,rn.
