Nine Tweenies Go
Up Into Brownies
On December 9, nine Tweenies
who had passed all their tests
were enrolled into the 4th Brown-
ie pack. They are Diane Switzer,
Linda Switzer, Joan Lobb, Marie
Lobb, Linda CoOke, Penny Bate-
man, Connie Beck, Joy Graham,
Rowena Corey,
December 17 was their big
Christmas Party for which they
had been practising the last mon-
th and a half. The first pack and
fourth pack Brownies had their
party together. They sang Brow-
nie songs, danced and had a play
and also a drill. Santa Claus ar-
rived and gave presents and bags
of candies to the Brownies and
the little ones came to watch
their sisters,
Then Santa Claus called the
mothers forward to present them
with a corsage which their own
Brownie made for them, The
evening ended with God Save the
Queen.
The leaders would like to thank
all the mothers and fathers who
attended and helped to make it a
success, also the Clinton Legion
for donating the candy and in
helping. Santa Claus to arrive, al-
so Mrs. L. G. Winter and Mrs.
Maurice Bateman.

Dinette Club Draw
For Money Apron
Last Saturday the winner of the
Money Apron sponsored by the
Kiriette Club of Clinton, was dis-
covered in the office .of ,the Clin-
ton ,News-Record, when Wilma D.
Dinnin made the draw.
The apron has been travelling
for some weeks among members
of the Kinettes and their acquain-
tances, and when complete, it

winner of half of the contents;
plus an identical apron to use in
her own kitchen,

The Orangemen held a social
evening in the hall, Friday even-.
ing. The inclemency of the weath-
er kept a few at home but an en-joyable time was reported. The
score was as follows: high lady,

Nott; low man, John Bromley;
lone hands, Mrs. John Scott and
Robert Townsend. Next social ev-
ening will be on January 10.

bers and five visitors present.
The group sang Christmas carols
to the people in the village.
