O ur thanks to you for being such John W. Hayter John Wesley Hayter died at his home at Webberville, Mich., Dec- ember 16, 1957, in his 49th year. Russell, London. Public Hospital on Saturday, December 14, of Frank Longman, one of the ,older and highly re- spected, residents of Hullett Township. In 1902 he married Isabel "Sackson, West- field, and they resided in Lon- desboro for a time, then moving to Concession 9, Morris Township, where they farmed for five years. Then they moved to Concession 13, Hullett Township, where they farmed until 1947 when Mr. Longman gave up active farming, and in 1952 they moved to Blyth. Mr. Longman attended the for- mer Methodist, n o w United church, Londesbore, and he had helped in the building of that church, Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Irene). Waymouth, Stratford; three sons, Lloyd, Stratford; Harold and Carl, Hullett; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Mary Stevens, Clin• ton. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17, from the Tasker memorial chapel, Blyth, and interment f011owed in Blyth Union Cemetery, The Rev, A. W: Watson, Blyth United Church, had charge of the service. Pall- bearers were , William. Harvey, Henry Hunking, Clarence Craw- ford, Edwin Wood and Fred Mc- Cool. Friends from a distance atten- ding the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Leach, Royal Oak, Mich. She was in her 71st yaer. She was the former Lucy Hum- eston and was born in Hensall. She was a member of Hensall Un- ited Church, where she was ac- tive in the Women's Missionary Society. She was treasurer for many years of the Hensall-Eketer Union of the Women's Christian Temp- erance Union. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Dor- othy) Sedley, London, and Mrs. Edison (Alva) Forrest, Hensall; one sister, Mrs. Robert Higgins, Hensall.
