hockey matches,

• . Market Hunting
A special thorn in the foot of
progress seems to be the mass
slaughter of Jack Rabbits by. road
hunters. This type of hunter
specializes in driving 'the back
roads; mainly. after snow storms,
where he finds Jack Rabbits sit-
ting along the roadsides, fences,
etc. The rabbits are then sold,
from. 50 to 70 cents,
• One hunter in a good afternoon
will kill from 10 to 15 ' rabbits.
Jack Rabbits are the most popu-
lar of the few game animals •left
to hunt in the • winter season. The.
market hunter goes out and, shoots
as many rabbits as he can and
when next season rolls around he
will wail loudest and. longest.
Clinton Colts extended their...sea-
ion's' wins to five with a 1.0-4 vic-
tory over Blackwell here last Fri-
day night. The Colts have only
lost one game, to Forest.
Black-Well had only nine men
dressed for the game. They lost
another man in the first period
when he was boarded heavily, and
did not play again.
The next home game for the
Colts is on January 8 when Lucan
will be here; followed by a visit
from Exeter Mohawks on January
11 for a Saturday night game.
