members of the CGIT was yery
well reeeived. Mrs. Davison and
Mrs. George Clifton and Mrs. Mel
Graham are the leaders.
Harold Lobb was proceeding
from Clinton on Wednesday morp-
ing, when his car was in collision
with a truck owned by the Tuck-
ersmith Municipal T'elephone Sys-
tem. Don McKenzie was driving
the truck. The accident occurred
at ,the new housing section on
Highway 4 near Clinton.

hame left this week for Syracuse,
N,Y., where they will spend Christ-
mas and New Year's with Mr. and
Mrs. John E:. Cuninghame and

after spending four days last week
in Detroit, where she attended a
testimonial dinner given hy the
city of Detroit for her cousin, Mrs.
Alice Guyette. Mrs. Guyette re-
tired this month- after 31 years as
a city employee, having served as
secretary to the late Albert
Cobo, while he was city treasurer
and later when he became mayor,

Owing to increased costs of op-
erating the Clinton Public Hospir,
tal, the Board of Directors has
made the decision to increase room
rates effective January 1, 1958.
When the new rates go into ef-
fect ward care will be charged at
$7.00 instead of the present $6,.50
per day. Semi-private rooms are
increased from $8 to $9 per day.
Private rooms increased' from $9
to $10 per day.

day the Secretary, Ernest Wal-
ton, on behalf of the Board,
