Motorforarna, a Swedish 1ilsur-
anee Company, writes "traffic in-
surance" solely for abstainers.
Startling evidence of the role
liquor plays in traffic accidents is
furnished by their records.
After 14 years in business they
had to pay in losses per vehicle
38% less than the average of 30
other companies. And the num-
ber of claims per 100 vehicles was
37% less. Since by no means all
of the policy holders in these other
companies were drinking drivers,
alcohol had to play a tremendous
role to create the difference be-
tween the two groups.
Now does alcohol do that?
1. It slows down reactions.
2. It creates false confidence.
3. It impairs concentration
dulls judgement.
4. It affects vision.,
